Huawei Ascend P6 announced – just 6.18mm thick!

Huawei has today announced the Huawei Ascend P6 , previously referred to as the ‘Edge’.

Incredibly, the P6 measures just 6.18mm thick. Whilst impossibly thin, that isn’t the only head-turning feature – an aluminium alloy casing and a 5MP front facing camera help steal the show.

Also adding to the impressiveness of the P6 is the size of the battery, at 2,000mAh it really is unbelievable that Huawei have managed to pack this high capacity performance into such a slim device. Other stand out features include a 1280 x 720 4.7″ screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and a speedy 1.5 GHz quad core processor.

The P6 runs the latest version of Android (4.2.2) Jelly Bean and also features Huawei’s Emoticon UI with a huge amount of customisation and  profile options. The 8MP rear camera has a wide 2.0 aperture for better low light performance and can also record video in 1080p. The front facing camera has an unusually high sensor spec of 5MP – so those selfies will look better than ever, as will your video calls.

The processor on the P6  is decent as well – 1.5GHz quad-core. Internal storage is lacking slightly, coming in at 8GB, but the expandable storage supports microSD cards up to 64GB.
