New Nextgear gaming laptop from Mouse Computer

Here is a new gaming laptop from the Japan based Mouse Computer, it’s part of the already popular Nextgear Note range of gaming laptops. It’s called the i980BA1 and it offers the gamer a nice 17.3 inch screen, Intel Core i7 processor, Nividia & Intel graphics and the Windows 8 operating system. However, as ever no laptop maker is going to be giving anything away, so therefore expect to be paying well over $2,000 for this gaming machine and that is just in its basic configuration, add some extras and that final price tag is going to be creeping up and up!

So, let’s take a closer look at what this gaming laptop has to offer the buyer, such as the 17.3 inch screen with a full HD non-glare LCD (LED backlight) display and offering a 1920 × 1080 of pixel resolutions. It will be running on the Windows 8 64-bit operating system and is going to be powered by the Intel Core i7-4700MQ Processor with 4 core, 2.40 GHz up to 3.40 GHz with turbo boost and a 6 MB smart cache. There is support for the Intel HM87 Express chipset and those all important graphics will be powered by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX780M & Intel HD Graphics 4600 video card with the NVIDIA Optimus technology enabled.

The system memory is a useful 8 GB of PC3-12800 DDR3L SODIMM and there is a 500 GB SerialATAII 5400 rpm (SerialATAII connection) hard disk drive (HDD) for storage. Communications will be easy with the built in IEEE 802.11 b / g / n wireless LAN, Bluetooth V4.0 + LE compliant module and 1000 Base-T/100 Base-TX/10 BASE-T (RJ-45) Ethernet LAN. Other features include the 2.0 mega pixel web camera, a single standard style USB 2.0 port, three super fast USB 3.0 ports, eSATA shared with another USB 3.0 port, HDMI, DisplayPort & mini DisplayPort, DVD Super Multi drive and built in Stereo speakers.

As for the size, this laptop measures in at 412 mm (W) × 276 mm (D) × 41.8 mm to 45.4 mm (H) and it weighs in at a heavy 3.9 kilos with the Lithium ion battery installed that Mouse Computer say will be good for up to 3.76 hours of mobile power. Mouse Computer has priced this version of the NEXTGEAR-NOTE i980BA1 to start from $2,200!
