Is reality paradoxical?

The fact that classification ends in paradox isn’t too difficult to figure out, since classification is orthogonal (ie, every class contains at least two classes), and that it thus lacks a middle.

More difficult to figure out is whether it also applies to reality, ie, whether also reality is fundamentally paradoxical (ie, orthogonal). If it is, then the fourth dimension, ie, time, has to be relative to space in order to give room for the difference between time and space, whereas if it isn’t, then time simply equals space.

Now, Einstein demonstrated that time indeed is relative to space and thus that reality is fundamentally paradoxical. It means logically that it must be impossible to measure both the position and the momentum of a particle at the same time, ie, Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, which Einstein, however, surprisingly comprehended as a paradox, ie, the EPR paradox, in that it predicts quantum entanglement. Einstein obviously wasn’t prepared to accept the consequences of his demonstration that time is relative to space.

Since then, Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle has been shown to agree with empirical experiments, and reality has thus been shown to be fundamentally paradoxical. It means that our logical reasoning is consistent with facts assuming that reality is fundamentally paradoxical, ie, that reality IS fundamentally paradoxical.

Given this fact, ie, that reality is paradoxical, we can analogize cladists’ search for a true tree of life with reality’s search for a stable state, both of which is a paradox. The fundamental problem is instead that a stable state is lacking. Cladists as well as reality are doomed to a vain chase to “define the indefinable” as Darwin expressed it. This fact is the strongest argument to accept Linné’s orthogonal system of classification – it is not The Dream of a Single Stable State, but it is at least consistent. The fundamental paradox, in itself, is insoluble.

We can discuss reality and utilize its opportunities, like the counterintuitive teleportation, but we can’t find out what it is. A paradox can’t be dissected.
