China Manufacturer Vivo Pips It Up With A 2K Resolution Phone

A phone that surpasses the best resolution in the market, 1080p has been launched. The manufacturer is a China based mobile company called Vivo and the phone is named Xplay 3S. Needless to say that smartphone world is shaken by the feat. LG and Samsung are also planning to launch similar phones as China represents a very important market for these companies. The manufacturer has included several audio technologies in the phone, such as TI OPA2604 Amplifier and ESS Technology ES9018 DAC. Its DTS Headphones: X technology supports 7.1 and 11.1 surround sound effect. Vivo is also the company behind the world’s thinnest smartphone, X3, which is just 5.75mm thick.

There is an aftermarket in China that needs reckoning. When Apple probably was gearing up for the design of iPhone 5, MI2 was being launched in China which when compared head to head with the iPhone takes the cake easily, and is half the price. Chinese technology, though speculated by some as unreliable and flimsy has been hailed in the domestic markets where these phones are selling like hot cakes. Ironically, Apple’s market share was cut short the most in these markets despite having their assembling factories there. Apple has decided to open an assembling station in California.

Apple has also struck a deal with China Mobile as it looks to reignite growth after its first annual profit decline in at least a decade. China is an extremely important market for Apple and the partnership with China Mobile presents the opportunity to bring iPhone to the customers of the world’s largest network, which means Apple is startled by Chinese mobile finesse. Samsung had 21 percent of China’s market in the third quarter, up from 14 percent two years ago. Apple recognizes the hurdles though, price is the number one challenge.
