Printajoy, An Ahmedabad Startup Which Plans To Print And Ship Your Instagrams

Instagrams are beautiful to look at, but they are largely digital and can only been on your mobile or your desktop. However, imagine how good old fashioned printed photos would look if they were Instagrammed! They could be used in a number of ways – in your greeting cards, wall decorations, collages and so many other things. Printajoy is a start-up from Ahmedabad which wants to print your Instagram photos and ship it to you.

Right now, Printajoy is running a crowdfunding campaign on Wishberry, an Indian version of popular crowdfunding websites such Kickstarter and IndieGogo. Their goal is to raise Rs.100K and have currently raised Rs.24,800 with 13 days left to go. They are offering funders some rather nice goodies for their contribution.

Once they reach their goal of Rs.100K, they plan spend it on improving their infrastructure, packaging, marketing and the main printing process. Printajoy’s team currently consists of Sohil, Kishan and Jayneil and who all hail from Ahmedabad.

They believe that they can provide good quality and cheap printing services in the country, if their idea and operations can scale up. Thus this Wishberry campaign is crucial for them. Post a successful campaign result, the company plans to start shipping prints in the first week of January, 2014.

Instagram helps many different people connect via photos and have shared experiences. This can be augmented to a much larger degree if physical prints of your Instagrams are available.

The company could also look at integrating other social networks like Facebook and Twitter because of the high volume of media usage on these platforms. If the company can provide these options, then they can tap into a large user base of social media users in the country.
