The Neanderthaloid 'Loess Men' of Nebraska

This is one of the examples of an American Neanderthal that has actually

gotten some notice and notoriety in the literature

I have seen this reference to skull 8 before, it is not an especially primitive example and others are much more extreme. It is however probably some sort of a halfbreed to something which is more extremely flat-headed. Incidentally the rounded back and bottom are some of the more Mongoloid traits. The other skulls at this site show lesser degrees of interbreeding.

Skull 8 is also similar to some Australian Aboriginal skulls, and some very old skulls found in China

I superimposed the top skull over the bottom one and the one on top does look as if it diverges significantly into the Neanderthal direction.

These are the remains of people with smaller cranial capacity than people today but neanderthals had greater cranial capacity than people today have.

These are the remains of Hominina who were massive in their lower extremities but neanderthals were massive in the barrel chests they had.

These don’t sound like neanderthaloids at all. They sound more like Homo Erectus if anything.

Asia also had Denisovans and an unamed third species that the Denisovans have been found to have also interbred with. Some people think that homo floriensis miht have been a type of homo erectus.
