Anti-Swine Flu Vaccination Linked To Increased Risk of Narcolepsy In Young Adults
Using a population-based prospective cohort study, the team analyzed data from regional vaccination registries and national health registries, covering seven healthcare regions and 61% of the Swedish population.
While the team did not identify any link to a large number of immune-related or neurological diseases, they did confirm an increased risk in diagnosis of narcolepsy in individuals younger than 20 years of age, and observed a trend towards an increased risk amongst young adults between 21 and 30.
“The follow-up of Pandemrix vaccinations in a large registry based study in Sweden confirms an increased risk of narcolepsy in children and adolescents, while also providing reassuring results for a large number of other neurological and immune related diseases,” said Dr. I. Persson from the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm.

I thought this was a news site, but it appears that every story is now being invaded by bible bashing religious fanatics. I’ve also noticed that the top stories come from the same people everyday, irrespective of whether they are interesting and useful, or not (Lynn Leaz, Susan Duclos, LFOD ?). This makes me believe that the viewing figures are being manipulated. Take this story for example – almost 11,000 views yet I am only the second to comment.

I was diagnosed with H1N1 in September 2009. It was unbelievably painful from the moment I got sick. I never felt anything like it in all my 40 years. A neighbor, just 19 years old, died of H1N1 during the time I was bedridden. I took Tamiflu with high doses of steroids for 8 days before I started to feel a little better. During my recovery (it took months to make a full recovery) I developed shingles?! Shingles was almost as painful as H1N1. I found it strange that I got shingles at the age of 35. Now there are commercials warning shingles could happen at any age. I am fortunate bcus I haven’t been sick since. I used to have bad sinus infections but not anymore. Maybe age does play a big factor?
My heart goes out to anybody who suffers from H1N flu.
Shingles is a virus that stays in your body after you had chicken-pox as a child. It can re-activate when you’re an adult, particularly when your immune system is under stress. If you were fighting the flu, that would be enough.
Isn’t this old news? As I recall, the European versions of vaccines are very different from American vaccines, in that European vaccines use additives to adjuvants to increase effectiveness with lower doses, while American vaccines do not use these additives. The Europeans ended up changing their guidelines so that people under 20 don’t get these types of vaccines.
As far as I know the trivalent and quadrivalent flu vaccines used in America do not have the squalene adjuvant implicated in the narcolepsy problem.
Note though that the FDA has approved a monovalent H1N1 vaccine with the squalene adjuvant, for use in emergency stocks (probably because it allows them to stretch a limited supply of vaccine). Based on what I’ve read, it’s probably not good for anyone under 20 to take this monovalent flu vaccine, called Q-Pan.
Trivalent has more effect on spontaneous abortion rates than it does against the flu. What nonsense are you peddling Mr Anthony? What are you reading?
These vaccines are far more dangerous than fighting it naturally! You do need to take fast action, but not necessarily a vaccination. A whole lot of people are getting far sicker taking the vaccine with the toxins, heavy metals, and yes viruses in them! You are far better off boosting your immune system before getting exposed to any type of flu or virus.
