Mammoth Tusk Discovered In Seattle By Construction Workers

Surprised construction workers just unearthed an Ice Age Mammoth Tusk in Seattle, Washington. The fossil was found on private property in the city’s south Lake Union area and there is no word from the landowner on what will become of the unique find.

According to the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture who were called on the scene, it is “a rare opportunity to directly study Seattle’s ancient natural history.”

These ancient Mammoths lived in Washington until approximate 10,000 years ago and their fossils have been found in many areas of western Washington.

Another interesting Mammoth Discovery occured in Russia where a fully preserved Mammoth was found with flowing blood! This might be a great leap forward in being able to Jurrassic Park up some Mammoths with cloning:
