Addicted To Retail (ATR) presents: JT, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Jessica Trosman, one of Argentina’s illustrious fashion exports, has recently opened a new JT boutique in the burgeoning Villa Crespo area of Buenos Aires. The designer garnered both local and international acclaim in the early 2000s with partner Martin Churba for their pioneering label TrosmanChurba, which was stocked at London’s Browns, Paris’ L’Eclaireur and Barney’s New York. After parting company, Trosman continued to evolve her style, launching the eponymous label Trosman and then JT last November. The vast Villa Crespo warehouse was revamped by local architects NET with input from JT creative director Sebastian Kaufmann. Its concrete floors and whitewashed walls contrast with flashes of glitter, greenery and abstract pattern. The changing room at the centre is a mirrored house redolent of the work of artist Ekkehard Altenburger. Meanwhile, a two-tiered glass façade separates the store from the design studio, allowing a rare glimpse into the creative process.
