George Dodworth ’99, Owner, Lightwave International Inc.
Electrical Engineering and Physics alumnus George Dodworth began experimenting with laser light in his Behrend residence hall. His hobby grew into Lightwave International, a multi-talented production house specializing in dazzling laser light shows and special effects for film, touring, corporate, and civic events. His Pittsburgh-based company is internationally renowned for creating the world’s largest full-color entertainment lasers.
Lightwave has accompanied major artists—Madonna, Rihanna, Shakira, Roger Waters and Pink Floyd, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Katy Perry, The Killers, Ke$ha, Skrillex, and Tom Petty among them—on multi-year world tours. Lighwave’s work also can be seen in hundreds of movies, music videos, and commercials, and in live television events,
