Epson Celebrates Achievements and Unveils New Products at the Annual Fusion Event in Cebu

Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC) recently held its annual Fusion Media event at the Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort in Cebu to celebrate its achievements as the no.1 brand in three different categories. The Fusion Media Adventure is Epson’s annual thanksgiving event that promotes friendship among participants.

The Fusion Event this year was filled with fun-packed activities including canyoning and swimming with the whale sharks. The event culminated with Epson’s announcement for being the “People’s Choice” in the Visual Imaging (VI) projector market, inkjet printer market and dot matrix market categories based on 3rd-party reports.

In the VI projector market category, Epson, with its 3LCD technology, gets the leading spot with 31.84% market share. According to President/Country Manager of Epson Philippines Toshimitsu Tanaka, “We attribute this achievement not only to the technical superiority of our products and the unending support from our partners but also to Epson’s design philosophy of taking feedback from our customers and using this to build products that exceed their expectations.”

In addition, Epson is no.1 in the Inkjet printer market category with 33.1% share, according to the International Data Company (IDC). This growth was driven by the performance of Epson’s flagship L-series printers, which grew by 104.2% from last year’s market share.

Epson also remains undisputed in the dot matrix printer category with a market share of 97%, a significant jump from last year’s 90.3% among all manufacturers of dot matrix printers.

The Fusion also highlighted the unveiling of 14 new products that are to be released this year under the following categories: Visual Instruments (VI)/Projectors, Inkjet Printers, Commercial and Industrial (C&I), and Business Systems.
