Why are particle physicists lying about Higgs particle?

Particle physicists recently claimed that they “as laymen” think they “have got” what is called “Higgs particle” (and were awarded with the Nobel Prize for it).

The question is what they mean with this statement. If they mean that they have found this kind of particle, then it is a lie, because kinds aren’t real, as Bertrand Russell demonstrated with Russell’s paradox, and thus can’t be found. Kinds are not something we find, but something we distinguish, Kinds aren’t real, but just our own abstract inventions. Kinds only exist in our own heads, and they are ultimately paradoxically contradictory.

Then, why do particle physicists convey the impression that they have found this “Higgs particle” with this fuzzy statement when this finding actually is impossible? Well, the reason is obvious. How on earth could they otherwise raise funds to build the supercollider they want to build? They were simply so squeezed into the corner that they had to deliver this long sought-for kind of particle. They simply had to pretend to make dream come true. And, the fuzzy statement they used to declare the finding left a door open to retreat from the claim.

Particle physicists are not Gods, but just as confused humans as the rest of us are. They can’t explain reality, just as none of the rest of us can. The only difference between them and the rest of us is that they believe that it is possible to explain reality, although Bertrand Russell demonstrated that it isn’t, because it isn’t even possiiblle to classify reality consistently and unambiguously. They are thus believers rather than scientists, in practice attempting to turn science into a belief.

As a scientist I thus pray: please save us from particle physics succeeding to turn science into a belief.
