Was watching the news out of Sacramento, CA, today on KCRA. New technology is now being introduced to track your childs attendance at CA publics schools using GPS and mobile devices! That’s right, if your children (not their children) are not at school you will be notified via an “alert” of their absence, and especially, where they are! Isn’t that wonderful! How will they now where they are? They will have to have some type of electronic tracking ”device” either in their hand, or placed on them, to track them won’t they! Parents will no longer be responsible for making sure their children get to school and stay at school, Big Bro will be doing it for them!

4 mile tracking RFID to be piloted on children in US school distict

The RFID Journal reports that a company in California, Iotera, is developing a 900MHz RFID tag that has a 4 mile range and that “a school district will use it to track students arriving on campus or traveling to and from school“. Rather than just being able to track students on campus this new geographical tracking takes tagging children one step further.
