1. Format Eraser

It’s late, you’re eyes are burning from staring at the same document for hours. You’re pretty much finished but there’s one paragraph that just won’t go where it’s supposed to! (Insert expletive here.)

Enter Format Eraser, simply highlight the section of text that’s troubling you. And Click, the Format Eraser icon below.

BOOM!

Back to the original plain text formatting. This works on all text in Word, including tables, anything tied to Styles or text copied from the web.

2. Format Painter

Struggling to match text, or can’t find the font that another party was using?

Now you don’t even have to think about it! Just highlight the section of text you wish to “mirror”, then turn on Format Painter in the top navigation. Your cursor will turn into a paintbrush when you return to the document, allowing you to ‘paint’ over the text you want to change.

Repeat as necessary! This tool works in all mediums, text, tables, pictures, even pesky line spacing.

3. Shrink One Page

When you’re done with a document, the last thing you want to do is mess with margins trying to fit everything onto one page.

Luckily… there’s a tool for that!

Shrink One Page is a tool you can add to your Quick Access Toolbar, at the very top left corner of your screen. To add it to your toolbar, click the small arrow down to access the commands menu.

Next, click on More Commands. This will take you to the Options Menu, where you can add hidden tools to your toolbar. Once inside, choose All Commands, then select Shrink One Page, then Add, which adds it to your Quick Access Toolbar, then click OK at the bottom to save.

Now, you can easily turn a little bit of document spillover into a quickly fixed, neatly formatted single page!
