One of the most annoying things about getting an invite to buy a OnePlus One or OnePlus 2 is knowing that you only have 24 hours to use it – it’s not that some people can’t make their minds up in that time; it’s just nice to have some leeway. Thankfully, OnePlus is finally rectifying this, giving you 3 days to use your OnePlus 2 invite instead of the usual 24 hours. And this isn’t one of OnePlus’ short term promotions – this appears to be a permanent change. Naturally, we’d prefer even more time than this – a week or two would be awesome – but at least they’ve changed. Now if only they’d get rid of the invite system completely…
It will be interesting to see whether this change follows on to OnePlus’ next device, the OnePlus X, which is supposedly going to be announced on October 29th. And even though the device is rumoured to be low cost at $249 USD, expect the invite system to be present again as well.
