Some people say the sand at Bagnold Dune of Mars is volcanic sand. Volcanic sand is shown clearly at http://www.sandatlas.org/volcanic-sand/
From the above webpage, it is clear that volcanic sand is different from the sand at Bagnold Dune of Mars (see http://wretchfossil.blogspot.tw/p/putative-martian-microbes-formed.html). For one thing, volcanic sand has no spheres while Martian sand at Bagnold Dune has many spheres.
