No matter how you slice it Crispr splices genes. They even say it is very cheap to use. I don’t know what cheap is in the medical world but this language implies that it is being made so that every medical facility, doctor’s office, or hospital will have to have it or they will seem outdated.
The question comes up about do we leave our bodies the way YHWH has made us or do we allow doctors to prescribe medicine, do surgery to take out certain organs, or stretch out our skin to make us look better. So where is the line? Do you draw the line at anything that changes your look that is just for outside beauty? Do you say let’s take out a gallbladder because it is full of gall stones? Do you alter your appearance because you have always wished for a larger butt, smaller waist, and higher cheekbones? We will all have to make our own decisions in the near future because this technology is coming at us faster than we realize.
If you look to the scriptures of the Bible it gives us some information to help us out.
Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:15-17
So it is up to us to take care of our bodies because our bodies belong to YHWH. If it is not pleasing to him then it has been changed and will not be the same ever again. Pray for guidance and he will hear you.
