Wind and solar powered houseboats sounds appealing. Isn’t it? Harry Coumnas, a famous scientist is building a caravan sized houseboat which would be powered completely by solar energy. This houseboat has solar panels on its roof and is habitable which could sail it to thousands of kilometers. With no gas and energy onboard, the cooking is done with the electricity generated by solar power. There is a monstrous battery of 1.5 tons which stores up all the solar power (converted to electricity) and provides energy for cooking, water, and cruising.
This house-boat weighs around 25 metric tons and a solid steel hull might be the next big thing to enjoy Saturday afternoon on the canals. “it’s not designed as a solar powered houseboat, but you can live and cruise on it.”
About Harry Coumnas
Harry Coumnas is making a solar powered houseboat with a monstrous battery of around 1.5 tons for living and cruising. Started one year ago after a comprehensive research, this cruise boat is catching eye balls from the people around the world. He has some younger crew members who helped him along the way and is hoping to turn the adventure into a broadcast event.
