On the left side of the figure are countless ooids. Red arrows point to spherical ooids. Green lines go to eroded ooids that are hemispherical with dark nuclei. Unmarked are countless ooids. Eroded ooids in this figure are much more abundant than spherical ooids. Most of these ooids range from 0.2 mm to 0.5 mm in diameter (see scale bar in
