Greens fear that optimism will foster complacency and hence undermine activism. But I find the essays of Pinker and Boisvert inspiring, not enervating.

This system on this earth was not designed to be eternal as evidenced by the fact that everything living, dies. This is where God puts the spirits of those He created to try them whether they will accept Him or reject Him. The world at large has mostly rejected Him but from those who deny their Creator, there are a handful that have accepted Truth and the reality that He is coming back, first to take away those who love Him and remove them from harms way because then, harm is most assuredly coming and it will be, well, catastrophic doubled then tripled and quadrupled. Billions of people will die when God pours out His Righteous Wrath on this world for the people’s rejection of His Only Begotten Son whom He gave to be the Savior of the world, to die and pay the penalty for the sins of whomsoever would believe in Him. Even most who claim they know Him do not know Him but only THINK they know Him. He isn’t this benign, stand-by who allows everything to go on as people wish with no repercussions for sin, He is ACTIVE in this creation and the world will get a taste of this coming soon to a city near you. Want to escape? Get to know Him. How? From reading and studying and learning about Him in the written word of Truth that God has given to the people of this dispensation. When you understand and BELIEVE what you understand, by Faith, you will be saved. This is a God who cannot be offered anything because we have nothing to offer Him. This God above the plethora of little “g” gods found throughout history is the ONLY God who created all things seen and unseen. His Name is above every name and He is to be PRAISED and WORSHIPPED and thanked for His Greatness. His name is Jesus Christ, King Of Kings and Lord of Lords, Creator and Master and Savior and once you know Him your life will be changed forever. You must learn about this Glorious God whom the world does not know and you must understand that it is He who has paid for your sins. Once you understand that, you will know that you finally understand because you will be SORRY for your sins. Many, upon realization of their sin character break down in tears of joy and sadness which is a sign that one has been saved. (this doesn’t always happen and is not necessary, but it happens often and it has happened to me, long ago) One doesn’t get to God by trying harder, or by stopping this sin or doing this or that deed, NO! One can ONLY come through knowledge of His Propitiating act which forgives those sinners who are SORRY for offending God by their sins. Look around at this world. Would you say it’s getting closer to God? If you answer yes, you are totally lost and must be saved. We ALL must be saved no matter what we think, feel or believe and I must say to whomever reads this that this message is for you, especially if you are still reading. I didn’t come here to write about this, but I came simply to make a comment about the temporary nature of this life. God works in me and I allow Him to do so. I don’t care what others think of me at all, only what God thinks of me. If you are reading this, get a King James Bible from the Dollar Tree, and begin reading in the New Testament, (toward the back of the book) in the letter to the Romans in which our apostle for this age writes what I (and many others) consider to be the magnum opus of His letters on the Grace, Glory and forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ and it explains who He is in detail. Read Romans first and then the rest of the epistles of Paul. IF you want to be saved, ask God to save you by showing you His plan through His written word. If you truly want to be saved, God will open the eyes of your heart and you will understand what you are reading and this will lead you to belief which leads to FAITH in Him which leads to repentance and salvation. This is the only way to be saved from your sin debt which, if you don’t accept to be paid by Jesus Christ’s Sacrifice at the Cross of Calvary, you will have to pay for your own sins FOREVER in the Lake of Fire. We are eternal and must decide by choosing or rejecting. What will be your choice? You really better hurry, judging by the speed at which I typed this, it is really getting close to the time of His coming. You don’t want to be here for that, and neither does God want you to be. He is calling you this day, right now! Who will you serve? yourself and your sin, which in the scope of eternity is a flash of light which is quickly extinguished, or God who desires us to Love and Worship Him so that He can share all things with us and we can marvel at His Infinite Glory for all of Eternity?
