DAVID DEWHURST HAS’NT WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU ?

The answer might outrage you.

I recently sent every federal candidate up for election a copy of the National Association for Gun Rights Candidate Survey.

The results are in, and I have some disturbing news to report in the United States Senate Race.

Lt. Governor David Dewhurst has refused to answer his survey.

More on that in a minute.

Now, sometimes folks assume that just because a politician is a Republican, they are a solid supporter of the Second Amendment.

I hope you don’t make that mistake.

Believe it or not, many Republicans only give lip service to the Second Amendment, tell you what you want to hear in an election year and then vote against your rights once safely in office.

Because of that behavior, you and I are only one or two votes shy in the U.S. Senate of losing our right to keep and bear arms.

We have the most anti-gun administration in nearly 20 years.  The last time such a rabid anti-gunner was in charge in Washington, we got the Brady Bill, a ban on an entire class of semi-automatic hunting and target rifles, and millions of gun owners lost their rights.

That’s why it’s vital gun owners know where every candidate for office stands, especially those running for the U.S. Senate.
   
And that’s why we sent surveys to every candidate for U.S. Senate in Texas, asking very specific questions about where each one stands on your gun rights.

The results might concern you.

First, there is some good news.

Republican candidate Ted Cruz answered his survey 100% in favor of your right to keep and bear arms.

Mr. Cruz specifically outlined his plan to both oppose gun control and advance your rights.

Mr. Cruz has even signed the National Association for Gun Rights Legislative Leadership Pledge, promising to not just vote pro-gun, but to actively champion pro-gun bills through congress.

But there is some bad news.

Republican Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst has refused to answer his survey.

This isn’t surprising: Some politician’s think they can get away with just saying they are pro-gun while refusing to go on record by answering the tough questions.

When politicians refuse to answer these questions, there’s a good chance they are hiding anti-gun views.

Worse, there’s also a good chance they will be eager to compromise away our Second Amendment rights.

1.) Thank Republican candidate Ted Cruz for pledging 100% support for your right to keep and bear arms;

2.) Give Republican Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst an earful. Demand he apologize to gun owners for ignoring them, and that he return his National Association for Gun Rights survey 100% in favor of your gun rights right now!
