Time to prep getting short?

Here at Lighthouse we’re increasing our prepping pace. 2013 looks to be a somewhat scary year.

The Federal government seems determined to disarm the American People in overt defiance of the Second Amendment which the Supreme Court just last year ruled was an Individual Right. Gun shops have sold out of semi-automatic rifles. AKs and ARs have disappeared from the marketplace. Ammunition in the associated calibers has also disappeared. Americans are arming themselves with serious fire power at the same time the Federal government seems bent on disarming them. If they actually carry through on their plans I expect, at best, we’ll see massive civil disobedience such as has never been seen in the U.S. before. That’s if we’re lucky. At worst would be an outbreak of open armed resistance which would not surprise me in the least. Imagine a Ruby Ridge or Waco in the news every week or every day…

There is open discussion all across the alternative news media (and some references in the Traditional Media) about Civil War in the U.S. which is not something I’ve ever heard seriously discussed in a long lifetime.

The Federal government seems to have no concept that spending more than your income could possibly be a problem and the Federal Reserve is pumping out new cash at the current rate of something like $80 BILLION a month in order to sustain an unsustainable system because the alternatives are, to them, unimaginable. The numbers get to be almost difficult to conceive after a while. There are absolutely no plans to cut spending. There, in fact, seem to be strong indications from the Senate and the White House that they plan to INCREASE spending. James Rawles book Patriots starts out describing an economic collapse when the Federal Debt hit $10 Trillion. We’ve already passed $16 Trillion and there seems to no longer be an upper limit. There are increasing conversations in D.C. not about how to cut spending but about how to simply ignore and get around the legal Debt Ceiling. Hyper inflation is no longer a hypothetical possibility. It’s an inevitable consequence which the Federal Reserve no longer has the tools to stop.
