Whatever New Gun Control Laws Obama Starts, Hillary Will Finish

If you are like millions of law biding gun owners who are worried how new gun laws will affect you, you really should start to worry about what the next 12 years will bring. It is very clear the current debate will lead to new gun control laws. It may include universal background checks, assault weapons and extended magazines being banned. Not everyone supports every aspect of purposed laws so we may end up with water-downed laws but that will certainly not be the end of it.

President Obama’s 2^nd term has just started but already there is talk of who will run in 2016. Not if but when Hillary Clinton announces her decision to run for president, it will already be over for the Republicans. It will be very difficult for any Republican to mount a campaign against her name recognition, popularity and war chest. The 2016 election main issue will be gun control. Whatever gun control laws do not get passed in the next few years will be back in focus in 2016.

There are a number of disturbing trends that are starting to develop as gun control bills are being introduced federally and in state legislatures around the country:

Rewriting current gun laws to change wording from “semiautomatic military style” to classify all weapons as “Assault Weapons”

Prohibit the sale, gift, loan or assignment of any assault weapon

Persons wishing to keep their current assault weapon will be required to submit to a background check, immediately register the weapon with appropriate law enforcement, securely store the weapon and allow the agency to inspect the storage of the weapon

Registered assault weapons may not be purchased or transferred, except for transfer to the appropriate law enforcement agency for the purpose of surrendering the weapon for destruction.

The registered owner or possessor of an assault weapon may not purchase additional assault weapons.

Persons acquiring an assault weapon by inheritance, bequest, or succession shall, within 120 days of acquiring title, do one of the following:
(1) surrender the weapon to a law enforcement agency for destruction; or
(2) modify the weapon to render it permanently inoperable.

Limiting magazines to only 7 rounds down from 10

These are just some of gun control laws that your elected officials are considering. You owe it to yourself to make sure you know who is supporting turning law biding gun owners into common criminals and those who are willing to stand up and support your 2^nd amendment rights.
