Cold and Rainy Days

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Funny how it was air you wear humid and hot last week and then the rain moves in and it’s close the windows at night cold!  Not that I’m upset about it, usually this time of year is just unpleasant and I have to just put up with it because I don’t have a choice.  It’s been raining since Saturday evening here.

A new recipe, blueberry buckle.  It’s basically a yellow cake batter with blueberry in it.  I kind of liked it but not enough to make it again.  It tasted like those cheap, store bought cookies…

Weeman ended up on the wrong side of the fence.  Since there’s no hole I can find, he must have laid down next to the fence and rolled out.  He’s been visiting with both the milk cows but Daisy is his favorite.  Goober kind of ignores him while Daisy will play with him and give him attention.

This was the table at the market last Friday that sold out.  I have a few ideas on how to make the table more presentable and I’ll be working on those ideas this weekend, after the markets are done.  Hopefully, I can do well again this week.

I’m geared up, more or less, for todays market.  I made the requested sour dough bread, I have a dozen beer breads, some whole wheat, a few sandwich bread loaves, the one berry buckle, some cinnamon twist bread, some butterhorns and 8 pans of cinnamon rolls.  I have a dozen jars of jelly still, I may make more later today.

On a personal note, I am okay.  I’m actually sleeping better and I’ve lost a little bit of weight.  My mind is more focused and feeling less frazzled.  Julys financial obligations are covered and I should be starting my new off farm part time job sometime next week.  I’m still just a bit amazed as I’ve managed to get farther, with the help of many friends old and new, in just the past 2 weeks than I had in the past 8 years!  I am excited for the future…
