Want to be a big dog in self-reliance? Then you gotta be a chicken. I mean, raise them. If you are looking for independence, for DIY liberty, here’s the plan for a chicken coop…

A lot of people have caught on to all the advantages of having a few laying hens around, and that is wonderful. I will put my two cents worth in on the basics of keeping layers, but I want to really focus on encouraging people to raise meat birds. An egg a day is a great survival ration, but I want to thrive. I want you to thrive. Once you raise your own meat, you will gain serious control of your food supply. After your first bite of home grown poultry, you will never want to eat FoodSys again. OK, not the FIRST bite,… I think most people who were not raised on farms have to sort of gag it back the first time… but after that!
