Hi Fred.  How’s Wilma and the kids?

Families doing just fine Barney. I’m kind of worried though!

Now what could trouble your bedrock Fred?  It sound’s like it might be contagious or something?

Well for one, the old boss, you know who, is talking about cutting jobs because of this recession thing! But that’s not bothering me.  It about this coming winter…

Well if anyone deserves some time off it might as well be you Fred.  Might as well put your feet up and get paid for it.  Spend more time with Pebbles.   Wilma may have something to say…

It’s not that Barney old pal, we got some savings under the rock if you know what I mean.  It’s this freaky weather.  All the signs point to a cold one and these rumours about the oil…!

Well you’re just going to have to get Dino running double time on the power treadmill you invented.  Betty was amazed that it even worked!

It’s the oil Barn.  Heard that that it going back up.  Shortages…no heat for the kids!

Yikes, how will Bedrock survive?  I can’t imagine having to bowl without any heat?

Hey Fred.  Did I ever tell you about this crazy inventor on u tube.  He lives somewhere up there in Canada.  You know, where they expect the big one to happen anytime.  Did you see what happened a few days ago?  I’ve seen some of this guy’s vids.  My cousin sent me the link.  He’s got some really hot stuff going on.  Something about more heat for less fuel or something like that?  What do you think Fred?

You know that you can’t believe everything you hear.  But on the other hand you know the government.  They like to suppress stuff like that.  Just like Tesla, Paul Pantone and others.

Anyway Fred…I watched some of the vids.  And I saw him using this quartz thing to cut through a stainless steel screen with just propane and a little bit of air.  Sure would save on having to use oxygen?

Did you hear the latest?  He’s going to make this water heater thing.  Says you can generate your own heat, hot water and even cooking for cheap.  And you can even make your own fuel from alcohol.  The system’s falling apart as it is.  This could help a lot of people keep warm and stay cozy this winter if it’s true!  You better tell Wilma about this guy before Betty does!  You know women?…

Maybe you could shoot me the link Barney?  What time did he say he going to do this water heating test?

Sometime this weekend.  Saturday I think.  He just wants to demonstrate that it is practical and could be used to help people in these hard times.  Seems that he has some heart…

If it does what he claims it will do, then I’ll send him a hundred bucks.  He says that he needs around five grand to perfect the final unit.  Says he’ll share the results and plans with those who get behind him so that they can duplicate his work.  Keeps the sharks away he says.

Hey Barn, you know maybe we should go see our lodge brothers and see if they will pass the hat.  Never did like the gas companies.  They’ve been overcharging for years.  And you can even make your own fuel you say?

That’s what he says Fred.  You just need to run the heater inline into a big truck radiator and it will keep your house warm even at 40 below!  Don’t forget the fan.  Works better if you can rig the rad into your furnace plenum.  My cousin who sent me the link did this a few years ago when there was a fuel scare!  He got shut down because his house insurance pulled his coverage.  So his wife made him take it out.  You know the government will never help the people.  We need to take the initiative ourselves.

You got me hooked Barney.  I’m going to download the vids and show Wilma.  Get the girls talking.  That’s the best way to generate some rumours that will do some real good for a change!

You says he has a Pay Pal account?  What his real name?

I think he said Don Taylor or something.  He’s a Canadian. Got a face book account to.  Lives up in a place near Nanaimo or something. Somewhere on Vancouver Island.  They seem to have all the brains.  He’s talking about getting word out to all the churches if it works.  There are a lot of people to benefit from this if winter turns out to be unusually cold and nasty.  He’s got my attentions and support.
