My sweet Caleb Ryan is six years old today! It’s unbelievable how fast time passes. He went from this quiet, little baby to a tall, energetic boy in what seems like such a small amount of time.

From the moment we saw him, I knew he was the best thing that ever happened to me. He was so worth a tough pregnancy, 21 hours of labor, and an emergency C-section.

I’ve learned more about his personality this year than ever before. He loves building things, he’s great at math, he loves to draw, he’s timid in a new situation until he gets used to things, he loves football more than ever, and he’s getting a little girl crazy. His imagination runs wild, he’s the class clown, and he can throw a perfect football spiral. He has discovered his competitive streak and even though he’s one of the biggest kids in class he won’t hurt anyone off the football field.

Ryan and I are so proud of the kid he is and who he’s becoming. He is so loved and we couldn’t imagine our lives without him.
