80 Emergency Essentials to Stock up On

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

I recently came across a video about the items that will disappear first when there is an emergency or natural disaster. I have a healthy respect for the need to be prepared in case of an emergency of ANY kind, so this definitely captured my interest. While I wouldn’t classify myself as a “prepper” (ie: a person who makes active preparations for future disasters, typically by stockpiling food, ammunition, and other supplies) as the mother of a child with Type 1 Diabetes, this fact alone motivates me to be prepared when and if the unforeseen happens.

After reading the article, I decided to read the comments, which I always maintain is where the best information is! Especially here on my own website.  I was so impressed with the suggestions and collective knowledge I decided to compile a list for myself of the things I personally thought were the most important. And like I always do, I wanted to share it with you for your consideration.

I hope it will be a vehicle for you to start thinking about the things that would be most important to YOU in an emergency and make your own list. But more importantly, actually start working on it. Something I definitely am going to start on as well.

There is a LOT more to surviving than a list of supplies…but a list is a great place to start!
