Down to the wire

I got up at 2:30 am this morning. Sadly, this is nothing unusual; I’m an early riser anyway, and once I’m awake I have a hard time going back to sleep (i.e. at 2:30 in the morning), so often I just get up. Early mornings are an excellent time to get stuff done on the computer.

Which is exactly that I did this morning. Tomorrow I leave for the Northwest Preparedness Expo in Prosser, Washington, and I needed to get my slides (visuals) finalized for my talk.

This is the third or forth (I forget) time I’ve spoken at this expo, and it’s a small but excellent opportunity to learn a lot about preparedness in general.

It’s amazing how much time and energy goes into getting a one-hour talk ready to go, including visuals. I’m down to the wire and need to get everything finalized.

I spend today packing and tomorrow driving. I hope anyone in the area has the chance to attend!
