You need a powerful rifle, (suggest a 7.62X54 and armor piercing ammo). Learn to hold it right and you will need no pistol. You can kill a target at 6″ just as fast as you can with a pistol. Get a hand cart to haul the ammo if things get that bad you need that much. It will, I got a nice moving cart from Harbor Freight. Strap you ammo cans on and you are ready. They will shut off the roads so over the hills you go.
2 of each, that way you have parts. .12 ga. with lots of different ammo. .22 and a couple Crossbows. A nice long range hunting rifle is also wonderful thing to have. I like a .308 lever Action. I am not a semi Auto fan. wastes too much power throwing the bolt.
