Armchair astronaut discovers Mars ‘space station’ using Google earth

We have all heard of little green men from Mars.
But now an American ‘armchair astronaut’ claims to have discovered a mysterious structure on the surface of the red planet – by looking on Google earth.
David Martines, whose YouTube video of the ‘station’ has racked up over 200,000 hits so far, claims to have randomly uncovered the picture while scanning the surface of the planet one day.

The white dot in the centre of the screen has set the blogosphere alight with rumours of a secret base
Describing the ‘structure’ as a living quarters with red and blue stripes on it, to the untrained eye it looks nothing more than a white splodge on an otherwise unblemished red landscape.
He even lists the co-ordinates 49’19.73″N 29 33’06.53″W so others can go see the anomaly for themselves.
In a pre recorded ‘fly by’ video of the object, Mr Martines describes what he thinks the station might be.
He said: ‘This is a video of something I discovered on Google Mars quite by accident.
‘I call it Bio-station Alpha, because I’m just assuming that something lives in it or has lived in it.
NASA and Google have both yet to respond to the ‘finding’, circled here
‘It’s very unusual in that it’s quite large, it’s over 700 feet long and 150 feet wide, it looks like it’s a cylinder or made up of cylinders.

‘It could be a power station or it could be a biological containment or it could be a glorified garage – hope it’s not a weapon.
‘Whoever put it up there had a purpose I’m sure. I couldn’t imagine what the purpose was. I couldn’t imagine why anybody would want to live on Mars.
‘It could be a way station for weary space travellers. It could also belong to NASA, I don’t know that they would admit that.
‘I don’t know if they could pull off such a project without all the people seeing all the material going up there. I sort of doubt NASA has anything to do with this.
‘I don’t know if NASA even knows about this.’
The ‘discovery’ is similar to that of the infamous ‘face on Mars’
Uncovered by the Viking 1 probe in 1976, a quirk of geography threw shadows over a small hill on the Cydonia region of Mars, making the inanimate rock look like a carved face.
The picture was heralded as proof of an alien civilisation by some but was dismissed as a mere trick of the light by scientists at NASA.
MailOnline has tried to contact both NASA and Goggle for a response to the image, but neither has replied.

As you move closer to the pole there are even more of these objects. Similar shapes and colors. A seeming city of them. Zoom in on the dark fields in this area and you will see hundreds, if not thousands of similar objects. Whether they are artificial structures or boulders that take on color and geometric shapes as an artifact of zooming I can’t say, but there are many more of them. The one seen in the video is the one that is most outlying.

I think the shadow government probably has bases on several planets and a number of moons. With the kind of cloaking systems and propulsion devices they have, I don’t think they would have very much trouble moving materials from Earth to these other areas. Hey Anonymous, You are incredibly ignorant to the point of stupidity. look, download Google Earth, click on View (in the title bar) then explore and yes, MARS then copy and paste these coordinates 71°49’19.00″N 29°33’05.00″W btw this is the latest download of google earth. I Found it and the photos are as real as the original.
What i don’t understand is why he gave bogus coordinates in the first place 49’19.73″N 29 33’06.53″W you know i’ll bet barracuda mixed them up they should be 73deg 49’19″ does anyone know how to type a deg symbol
I also found it in that location, when I turned the sun to night time the squares got clearer. Now I can only say that google earths version of it has this object on its Google Mars program.
Squares are rare in nature, this does not mean it is some space station. If it can be found on original images then maybe it can be verified that it is even there.
Funny thought, how would you think to promote Google Earth with its war wit the other big wigs in their industry. Find something worth looking at even if it is just to argue.
Yes, Martha, it is NOT a space station, although Mars is certainly in space in the same way the earth is. But nothing on earth is known as a space station unless it is a space station headed toward space. If the Mars object is real, it would more properly be called a “Mars artifact” or “anomaly,” not a space station. But who cares about proper? The main thing is: is it real? And if it is real, then it may be catalogued along with hundreds and thousands of other such anomalous realities that gubby-gub is hoping against hope will not disturb the sheeple while they are being processed.

Interesting, the structure is apparently not there in the source ESA data, so how did it get on Google Earth?
There is something they missed on all this..mysteries force’s have taken it down…its been debunked by quite a few..but the fact is there is also something else on mars to back up the fact that it just might exist..some sort of all terrain vehicle…with letters and number’s on the side..U 2 G …now i wonder where those kind of numbers would possibly come from..download from e.s.a..
