Elevator To The Moon To Become Reality In 8 Years

The LiftPort Group, a US-based privately-owned company, with former NASA researcher Michael Laine at the head, is planning to build a space elevator to the Moon. The idea of a space elevator stipulates a rocket-free way to transport people and cargoes into orbit with the use of a special cable.

The California-based company founded by former NASA engineer has developed a cheap and easy way to get to the lunar surface. The project is based on a special ribbon cable, on which transport modules and autonomous robots will travel. At first, the researchers plan to test the system on the planet: the test elevator will be 2 kilometers high. Afterwards, a working system will be built. Initially, the company will use a space elevator to connect the Moon with a specially designed space station. The station will then be connected to a platform on Earth.

Company President Michael Laine believes that it will take eight years to build the elevator. The construction will require only a single launch of a spacecraft that would technically resemble the famous Soviet Sputnik-1. It is assumed that such an elevator can already become a part of modern-day reality taking into consideration the current level of the technological development.

The space elevator, scientists say, will help people build manned bases on the Earth’s natural satellite and organize the extraction of helium-3 there – a raw material that will solve global problems of the shortage of energy resources, writes EnergySafe. According to most pessimistic estimates, the reserves of helium-3 on the Moon will be enough for Earth’s population for at least 1,000 years.

LiftPort Group does not doubt its success. The company is going to attract potential investors after the tests that will be conducted on the funds raised on the Internet. NASA, where Michael Lane worked before, has already evinced interest in the project, reports FreeSMI.by.

The idea of a space elevator is not new. For the first time, it was put forward by Konstantin Tsiolkovsky in 1895. Afterwards, the idea received detailed analysis in the works of scientist Yuri Artsutanov, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta wrote.

The OP will always soar to new heights of idiocy.

LOL Hope the elastic band doesn’t break. The moon is not fixed in one place, it orbits Earth, so they can’t build a lift to the moon directly. It would have to be a staging post just outside Earths atmosphere, making it easier to get objects off Earth for space exploration, not just the moon.

Good luck with that one , this might be a stupid question if i were a scientist , but doesnt the moon move around the world constantly , how the hell can there be a cable from the earth to the moon

And once you arrive there you will be given an Israeli flag to hold and a kippa to wear so that you never forget
who is your master and to whom you are allowed to hand over your money!

This report reminds me of Tower of Babble, yet I consider that this is an attempt to build a way back to a place that some celestials anticipate them being cut off from, OR have already lost their alignment of portal light beam transit.

Because as Mother Earth realign Herself with the original alliance of stargate portals, those light transit alignments which have been established without proper authority, will themselves lose straightway alignment allowing them back-and-forth light beam portal travel, which is far more sophisticated than a mechanical “Elevator to the Moon” as they would have mainstream to believe.

But this is all doable beyound the veil in the celestial world we are blocked from …

I don’t see this working. First micro-meteorite to hit the cable and it snaps, not to mention solar winds and hurricanes and tornado’s on earth and electromagnetic pulses. What are the occupants to do if the elevator stops running, call a repairman? Unless they can come up with transports that can fly freely back to earth or to the moon if there is an accicent this won’t work unless space agencies keep rescue ships on the launch pad ready to go at a moments notice. Even then they probably couldn’t get to them in time. Also the company that wants to build this doesn’t even have the funds yet. They were soliciting for funds just to get a feasibility study done. Not too encouraging.

I sure would hate to have to tip the elevator man. It’s aprroximately 1,261,000,000feet to the moon. Tipping 1 dollar a floor{a floor being 10ft.} that would be one billion 261 million dollars. WOW.

how are they going to deal with that pesky van allen radiation belt!?!?

      • Anonymous

I always said if there were ever any real Apollo missions the crew would have been fried as they passed through the Van Allen Belt! An aluminum beer can is thicker then the Lunar lander!

Not sure ‘they’ will let anyone go to the moon and I dont mean nasa or our gov…after all it is an artificial planetoid littered with structures and an interior base…

It is hollow, rings like a bell! That’s how we got to Earth. WE have been trying to repair it for 12,000 years. Almost got what we need to fix it.

As the moon orbits earth, it will trail back into its slipstream anything attached to it, including this rather bizarre cable. So the end of the cable, attached to its space station, will be no closer to earth than the moon is anyway. Plus the space station, being quite heavy, will snap the cable immediately.
The only good thing about this idea is that certain people will be able to make a lot of money out of it. And isn’t that what the whole Space Programme is about anyway ? The next idea will be a plan to land a man on the moon by 1970, and ultimately to land a Mars Rover onto the surface of that planet. Oh, wait a minute, that’s already been “done”. Ker-Ching !

Sounds pretty stupid to me. So rather than use new technology we’re going to go back to climbing up ropes to get into the sky?lol
Sounds like nothing more than a huge danger to the civilian population here. Scrap it and find some scientists that know what they’re doing.

      Sorry, gotta call BS!
While the Moon’s orbit and rotation are exactly in sink, which can not happen naturally, the moon does orbit the Earth every 28 days and the Earth revolves around it’s axis every 24 hrs (you know a “Day”). You notice the moon is not always in the same place!
You can put a space station in geo sink orbit where it is always above a fixed place on Earth. If you had a cable strong enough to hold up it’s own weight with 268 miles of it strung from Earth to the geo sink space station you could tie the two together. but you could NEVER tie anything to the Moon because it is forever moving around the earth as the Earth also rotates.
Who came up with this BS? COME ON!

A pyramid 60 miles high would do the trick, ride it up to weightlessness (outer space) and since the moon is always facing earth, you could put a cable from it close to a timed terminal or forget the cable and ride a ship to the moon from the space terminal. A pyramid 60 miles high isn’t impossible; right now it’s what all humans on earth should work together building. How did our ancestors build a pyramid to mathematical pi and fascinate us now with that high tech unexplained marvels. I say we should now, out do them by 60 miles and also put a pyramid terminal on the moon. Done deal.
