There Were Advanced Martians, Period.

NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity has imaged numerous remains of concrete pavements and concrete blocks. They were constructed by advanced Martians, because the concrete remains have lasted for billions of years. The following are evidences for concrete pavement remains at different sites in Gale Crater, Mars:

1. at Yellowknife Bay: http://www.wretch.cc/album/album.php?id=lin440315&book=20&page=15

2. at Shaler: http://wretchfossil.blogspot.tw/2013/06/man-made-pavements-on-mars.html

3. at Rocknest:http://wretchfossil.blogspot.tw/2013/07/found-numerous-martian-concrete.html

Added on July 7: They are not limestone pavements or any other natural rocks.

Martian concrete pavement remains differ from limestone pavements (note 1) in the following ways:

1. The surface (top layer, note 2) of the former is much thinner than the latter;

2. The former is more flat than the latter;

3. The former is smoother than the latter;

4. The former is mostly smaller than the latter in individual pieces;

5. The former is mostly rectangular with right-angled sides while the latter is irregular.

Added on July 9: Water Easily Erodes Limestone Instead of Martian Concrete Pavements

“Limestone (CaCO3) reacts with hydrogen ions in water. These are always present in water, since water undergoes autoprotolysis: H2O(l) = H+(aq) + OH-(aq) The more acidic the water is, the more limestone will react, and erode. The erosion of marble sculpture and inscriptions exposed to the elements is one of the consequences of acid rain.”
