NASA Found Numerous Biogenic Organic Carbons on Mars.

The source of the Martian organic carbons came from red blood cell remains ( http://wretchfossil.blogspot.tw/2013/05/numerous-martian-mammalian-rbc-remains.html ) that were fed into SAM (Sample Analysis on Mars) on board NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity.

In the SAM instrument, the red blood cell remains were burned up into organic carbons owing to the presence of perchlorate in the sample. In a process known as Redox (reduction-oxidation, note 1), the organic carbons changed into chlorinated carbon compounds, chloromethane and carbon dioxide (note 2).
