The image was obviously released before the cover-up on planet X began in the early 1980ies.
Pioneer 10, launched on march 2nd 1972, likely passed an inbound Planet X by the end of the launch year. Looking closely at the link provided (expandable image), you can see that Pioneer 10 was travelling in the general direction of Planet X, and, according to ZetaTalk, it’s mission was to investigate Planet X in the first place. Planet X was being drawn in by our Sun’s gravitational force at very high speed but came to a screeching anti-gravity slowdown near the Sun in december of 2003 and it’s been creeping around the Sun ever since, in fact it’s getting ready for an exponentially increased outbound movement at any time.

*sigh* if planet x was between us and the sun you could photograph it using amateur telescopes and the correct UV filters. So there would really be no way to cover it up as someone like you could simply go take a photo of the dang thing
