The Moon Does Not Orbit the Earth!

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

They’re going to have to change ALL the books: The MOON does NOT orbit the Earth.

Copernicus must be turning in his grave. He succeeded in establishing that the Earth goes around the Sun; but people today still believe the Moon ORBITS the Earth. Not only is that NOT TRUE – it’s not even possible. But NASA doesn’t want to hear about it. Here’s what’s really going on….

It’s the Sun’s gravity that makes the Earth move so fast in Space. The Earth travels approximately 67,000 mph in its revolution around the Sun. And the Moon KEEPS UP with Earth!  How could that be?  Because – just like the Earth – the Sun’s gravity is propelling the Moon. In other words, The Moon orbits the Sun.

Because the Earth orbits the Sun, the path of the Earth is ALWAYS curved toward the Sun. Pretty simple. But the Moon’s path is also ALWAYS curved toward the Sun. That’s a surprise. How could that be?

The answer is that the Earth’s gravity is ONLY able to “pull” the Moon weakly BACK AND FORTH across it’s path as both are ZOOMING forward around the Sun. This weak acceleration of the Moon by the Earth’s gravity adds about 2,000 mph to the 67,000 mph that the Sun already exerts.

From Space it looks like this….

See the Moon there next to the Earth? That is NOT an orbit. It’s more like a double planet. NASA doesn’t want to hear about it – because then all the books will have to be changed. But, hey, Science is Science, isn’t it? The Moon does not ORBIT the Earth…and that’s that.

Actually, Copernicus did not “succeed in establishing that the earth goes round the sun”. He came up with a theory that that is what happens. This theory has nine separate interdependent assumptions, but no proof. As such, therefore, it is part of a belief system, and not science. This is rather shocking for all those who imagine that the matter has been conclusively put to bed.
Sir Fred Hoyle was a recent, notable, but somewhat eccentric astronomer from Britain. But having spent a lifetime pondering the issue, all he was able to say is that there is proof neither for the geocentric assumption, nor for the heliocentric equivalent as proposed by Copernicus.
      Personally, I disagree.
The reason for this is that I note that the earth is covered with great bodies of water. A rotating and orbiting earth requires the earth to spin on an axis at 1000 mph at the equator. However, if this were true, then the water upon its surface would experience the effects of inertia, ie they would lag behind the spinning earth, more so at the equator than elsewhere, of course. This is evident to anyone after a moment’s thought. Such huge bodies of water lagging significantly behind the parent solid body would immediately rise up into the mother of all tsunamis, and overwhelm the earth.
Given that gravity is everywhere of a similar strength, it is also apparent that the water at the poles would rapidly begin to drain towards the equator; a disc of water would concentrate here, rising up high into the air. Such a thought is really rather frightening, but the physics validates the inevitability of such a scenario.
Something similar can be proposed for the even less substantial atmosphere which covers the earth; this should lag behind even more, and generate unidirectional hurricanes of a force sufficient to extinguish all life on earth, having first rendered it airborne. You will have seen the videos of what tornados can do; this would be infinitely worse.
Thus, the earth does not rotate. It is stationary.
The immediate corollary of this is that the sun must therefore orbit us, to give us day and night. The stars too. This is earth-shattering in its implications, of course. We must immediately accept that if the stars revolve around us, then we must be at the centre of the universe, and the stars must be orders of magnitude closer to us than we have been told. Otherwise, the speed required for them to complete a diurnal orbit would be prohibitive.
It is interesting in this regard to note that the 2nd century BC astronomer Aristarchus, who correctly estimated the circumference of the earth to a very close approximation of what we accept today, also estimated that the sun was only 5 million miles away, by using simple geometry involving the relative positions of moon, sun, and earth, at the full moon.
Copernicus was part of a great movement called The Enlightenment. From what I have said, however, it is apparent that he was actually one of the instigators of a new age of darkness, wherein we lost contact with a truth which had been accepted for generations previously.
      This truth is declared by these scriptures;
“The world also is firmly established, it shall not be moved”
      and
“The sun also arises, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose”.
      Thus, the immemorial Truth,
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”.

I honestly have not researched the geocentric model enough to determine whether I believe it, but it seems plausible, and these scriptures seem to support it. I love your comment about how our satanist world rulers call the period of their stepped up indoctrination and increased fabrication of lies “The Enlightenment”, while they have named the period just after Jesus’ resurrection where Christianity was spreading throughout the world “The Dark Ages”. The Rosicrucian secret society have been very open about the fact that many famous scientists were counted among their members, and out of them came the english Royal Society of scientists, which have since the year 1660 been the main fabricators of the house of cards group of theories we call modern science. Thanks to God that we need not have all the answers about this world in order to get to Heaven, because this world’s knowledge has been thoroughly corrupted. The only truth that will matter when we die is the gospel of Jesus Christ: We are all sinners, but God’s sinless son Jesus gave His life for our sins on the cross, was buried three days and then resurrected.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20-21

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:20-21

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Psalms 1:1

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 1 Corinthians 1:19

        • Stephen

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:9-13

Too stupid to comment on. You have to wonder sometimes what’s too stupid for BIN to repost.

      • mortimerzilch

Gee…you say the article is stupid? You can’t be saying that…you must be commenting on the first comment, because, really, the Moon cannot go backwards around the Earth, there’s just not enough gravity from Earth to get it to do that…. ty.

        • eb

There is enough gravity. The moon does not go backwards, it is in a stable orbit around earth due to the gravity of the earth-moon system which is G*m1*m2/r^2 where G is the gravitational constant, m1 is mass of the earth and m2 is the mass of the moon. The gravity of of the sun- (earth-moon) is greater than the gravity of the earth-moon but this does not cause the moon to orbit the sun by itself as the moon is inside the hill radius of earth which is about 1.5 million km

    • Anonymous

The Moon is actually made out of cheese.

    • mortimerzilch

This topic deserved a better article. This was my first BEFOREITSNEWS article and I guess I was a wee bit careless…Sorry, editors! What I meant to confirm was that the PRESENT CONCEPT of the Moon going AROUND the Earth is not correct. The MOON goes in a sinusoidal forward moving path, back and forth ACROSS the Earth’s orbital path. Both are orbiting the Sun. Technically it’s NOT a double planet because, technically, in a double planet system the Center-of-Gravity is somewhere BETWEEN the two planets; but, with the Earth-Moon system the balance point, or “barycenter” is about a thousand miles INSIDE the Earth. Nevertheless, because the Sun’s gravity accelerates the Moon so much faster than the Earth’s gravity does, the Moon cannot go around the Earth in the ellipsoid path we always see pictured in the textbooks.

      • astro noob

for the “sinusoidal forward moving path” theory to be correct, wouldn’t there need to be no ‘dark side of the moon’, as seen from earth…….?????

      • astro noob

for your ‘sinusoidal forward moving path’, theory to be correct there would not be a ‘dark side of the moon’. ie the majority of a side never seen from earth…….. But this is not the case

    • resonator

still wondering why this even matters

    • Wonkadelica

No, we are all orbiting the black hole at the center of the Milky Way. No, wait, we are all orbiting the local galaxy cluster! No. no, wait, we are all orbiting the bubble universe!! No, no, no, wait, wait,…

      • mortimerzilch

ok, ladies and gentleman, allow me to EXPLAIN why this matters…that the MOON does not orbit the Earth. First, our present understanding, i.e. the Scientific understanding that is GENERALLY accepted DOESN’T MATCH the reality of the situation. Almost all books, and almost all people have as a basic GIVEN in their lives, the belief that the MOON orbits the Earth. Since that is wrong – as I make clear in this article – books and people are not standing in the correct reality. We still say “sunrise” and “sunset” but nobody really believes the Sun goes around (except that dear reader who commented above, – take your meds!) But when people look at the Moon, ho-hum, it goes around the Earth. WRONG! If we as a collective mindset were to adopt the correct view that the Earth-Moon system is more like a double planet, and the MOON is moving back and forth across the Earth’s path- AAH! our mindset would be SPACE-centered. Humans would be changed. Where we live would cease to be known as “the world” and would forever become – “THE EARTH” and suddenly we, humanity, would become space creatures. (NOTE: people don’t realize that they live in Space. This would make them realize it.) And that, chippies, IS A BIG DEAL!

    • billR

This may be a little off topic but since we are talking about truth and what the scripture states about the universe. There are 76 verses in the bible that clearly state that it is the sun that moves and the earth is stationary. Having said that when Pilate said to Jesus “What is truth” which when translated into latin is “Quid est veritas”. He was unknowingly answering his own question. If you were to take the exact 14 letters of the phrase above and jumble them into other latin words you would get the phrase “Est vir qui adest” These four words translated into english is the phrase “It is the man before you”.
So in other words, what Jesus says is good enough for me. I am going to believe the bibles stance on the stationary earth. Not going to fall for the theories of man, nor am I going to put my trust in man.

      • mortimerzilch

Your point of view is a heresy. It is called “Literalism,” and it is a wrong way to understand Scripture which Itself says: “The letter killeth, but the Spirit gives life.” Just like Scripture says God made Creation is “6 days, and on the 7th He rested,” but It also says: “a day in the sight of God is as a thousand years.” So a day is not 24 hours to God, and it’s not a thousand years either. It is “as” or like a thousand years…it could be a billion ! The heresy you have fallen into is a killer. And any church that teaches it is cut off from the One, Holy, Universal, and Apostolic Church that Jesus founded on the Rock of Peter. I strongly urge you to leave that church and go to your local Roman Catholic Church for religious instruction because your heretical point of view does not fit in a person’s brain alongside either Science, or Rationality.

Is this why we only ever see one side of the moon do you think?
If it were orbiting, surely it would have phases and different faces ie it would look different instead of always the same.
I have always wondered about this.

      • mortimerzilch

thanks for asking, Helga. Actually the Moon is lopsided, and the heavy part of it “hangs” toward the Earth. If you were to wad a paper towel into a loose ball and stab a pencil through it, hold both ends of the pencil…the heavy part of the paper ball would hang down toward the Earth. try moving the heavy end to the top, it will swivel down toward the Earth. So the Moon is always UP from the Earth, and the Earth is always DOWN – this is how EINSTEIN’s theory of gravity explains things, as gravity dimples, like placing a bowling ball on a mattress. It forms a “well” with the major object in the down position and the lighter object (like planets around the sun) in the “above” position. This is why people in Australia look up to see the Moon, and people in Norway too. Helga, the part of the MOON with the dark dirt (maria) is where the lava flowed out…lava flows DOWN, so the heavy side of the MOON always faces down – toward the Earth. Getting it now? The axis of the Moon is about 3 and a half miles off center, so it is lopsided.

In fact, the Sun-Earth-Moon system is orbiting Alcyone, which in turn orbits the centre of the galaxy.

    • Pix

Actually it’s more a case of spiralling through space with the sun dragging all the solar system along with it, rather than orbiting the sun. We are drawn to the sun by it’s massive gravity, but we never actually get there because it’s speed through space counters or balances out it’s gravitational effect.

      • mortimerzilch

not exactly. Using the “gravity well” model of the Solar System, the rapid movement of the Sun through the Milky Way causes the gravity well around it to move with the Sun, but not in circular shape, it become oval. The planets then DO ORBIT the Sun, in elliptical orbits WHILE the entire gravity well is moving through space. That doesn’t happen with the Earth-Moon system. Sir Patrick Moore began teaching this in England based on precise and meticulous measurements of the Moon’s motion. Some books over there show it properly. But our on this side of the pond do not.

        • ChrisT

I don’t understand what you are trying to say in this article. It doesn’t seem like anyone who commented really did, as people are claiming Jesus said we are the centre of the universe so that’s what we should believe. Am I right in thinking you are not saying the moon does not go around the earth, we can see from earth that the moon orbits us in the sense that it goes around us. Are you saying the moon does not orbit the earth as in, it hasn’t got a smooth defined path and it is more earth and the moon are spinning around together?

    • eb

The moon does orbit the earth, and the earth sort of orbits the moon too, like a heavy man and his light 5 year old son spinning in a circle. As you said, the barycentre of earth-moon system is below the surface of the earth, and the barycentre of the man and his son would be slightly inside the man.
The sun’s gravity does not make the earth and the moon move through space. The sun’s gravity holds the earth-moon system captive and keeps the earth-moon mini system travelling in an ellipse, nearly a circle, around the sun. If the sun disappeared tomorrow (stolen by aliens for a power source perhaps) the cold dark earth-moon mini system would fly off into space at 67,000 mph at a tangent to the original orbit, due to Newtons laws of conservation of momentum, nothing to do with the sun’s gravity

Lol thank you for this wonderful article. We “Elohim” or “the Annunaki” call it Nibiru. Old home. You people called it Avalon.

If some people would care about Jesus Christ for Once and ask for the true portrait of Christ to be revealed I might be able to clear some things up.

    • mcmama4

Your explanation doesn’t make sense, that gravity pulls the moon around the earth but it’s really the sun’s gravity doing all the work. It’s entertaining how people use the gravity theory as an all in all to explain what they don’t understand. Your article was gibberish although you sound like a nice man.

The question I have is how does the moon orbit the earth without going to the gravity theory? Picture this. Two children are playing outside. Tommy is running in a circle around Sue who is running in a straight line. He has to run extra fast beside her to pass her, then cut in front and slow down to go around behind her to keep a perfect circle around her.

The moon would have to do this too while it orbits around the earth, yet we’ve always been taught the moon doesn’t go fast then slow, but a predictable, constant speed. This is the same with earth orbiting around the sun. It doesn’t go fast and then slow down in its orbit. Something’s amiss here. I’ll be honest, the sun and moon make a lot more sense on a flat earth. Enlighten me if you can.
