The images are impossible to witness from Earth, because the moon is ‘tidally locked’ to it, meaning only one of its faces ever points toward the planet. These timelapse pictures were captured using Nasa’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, which circles the moon at an altitude of 50km.

The moon always rotated. It spins like a clock. see the front goes around and around, or top to bottom. Not right to left, or east west. That’s why we only see the side we see. But it always rotated.

I look up and see the moon from time to time and never once did I see it rotate. Does it rotate cw or ccw ? – doesn’t mean concealed carry
