So you are saying that diamonds to these, so called, aliens are like dilithium crystals to the USS Enterprise. I know why we are not being visited by aliens from other planets on a routine basis. I know why they always seem to be hiding when they come here. They are interested in us much like we are interested in a dead animal along the side of the road. A dead creature on the side of the road is gross to look at but at the same time very difficult to look away from. But the reason they do not openly interact with us is simple. All an alien need to do is intercept all the TV programming that is being bounced from ground to satellite to ground for just a short time to realize that these creatures that call themselves humans are just plain nasty. If you came from an advanced civilization capable of intergalactic travel what would you think your own kind look and behave like in comparison with those humans. I would think we are just plain gross. Only a handful want to see us, like human scientists that investigate animal scat, purely for educational purposes. But as a whole, most aliens don’t want anything to do with humans. It would be like a human wanting to be around and interact with slugs. We are just disgusting. Even being a human myself, I see how we live, interact with our world as well as other humans and I am disgusted. Imagine how an advanced civilization traveling from planet to planet must see us.
