Giant Explosions At Venus, Bigger Than The Entire Planet
Researchers recently discovered that a common space weather phenomenon on the outskirts of Earth’s magnetic bubble, the magnetosphere, has much larger repercussions for Venus. The giant explosions, called hot flow anomalies, can be so large at Venus that they’re bigger than the entire planet and they can happen multiple times a day.
“Not only are they gigantic,” said Glyn Collinson, a space scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. “But as Venus doesn’t have a magnetic field to protect itself, the hot flow anomalies happen right on top of the planet. They could swallow the planet whole.”
Earth is protected from the constant streaming solar wind of radiation by its magnetosphere. Venus, however, has no such luck. A barren, inhospitable planet, with an atmosphere so dense that spacecraft landing there are crushed within hours, Venus has no magnetic protection.
Scientists like to compare the two: What happened differently at Earth to make it into the life-supporting planet it is today? What would Earth be like without its magnetic field?
At Earth, hot flow anomalies do not make it inside the magnetosphere, but they release so much energy just outside that the solar wind is deflected, and can be forced to move back toward the sun. Without a magnetosphere, what happens at Venus is very different.
Venus’s only protection from the solar wind is the charged outer layer of its atmosphere called the ionosphere. A sensitive pressure balance exists between the ionosphere and the solar wind, a balance easily disrupted by the giant energy rush of a hot flow anomaly. The hot flow anomalies may create dramatic, planet-scale disruptions, possibly sucking the ionosphere up and away from the surface of the planet.

There’s a lot of hot flow anomalies continuously coming out of Washington DC.

It is ON Venus, not AT. Get your prepositions right.
However, that aside, “Giant perturbations called hot flow anomalies” sounds sexy!
grammar nazis really bug me, but with that said, the at/on is a semantic and the context in which the story is derived defines the usage. the expolosions do not occur on venus. they occur at venus from an incoming solar wind. more specifically the explosions themself are in space above the ionsphere. now i am sure you will find many grammatical errors heres, thats fine, i was a physics major and detested english/grammar it is not logical and has no universal rules across cultures as does math. i would note my final exam in english was a 5 page run on sentence. i would say i have come a long way since then.
Grammar trolls are the most annoying pricks on this planet and on Venus!

really who cares? nobody alive today will get to actually see any of this or get close to anything like this, why not figure out whats on planet earth first? im not convinced that our elite actually know what they are talking about.. Remember when we first started to look at the moon how many people “saw stuff” .If you read what our top people actually said about the moon and mars then put that into prospective today with the same people and bam , You have just some of the lies that they are tell us.. The whole world is a bunch of scammers, with the best 1′s making tons of money. (our government, military, schools etc…) , i dont trust anyone anymore and i dont believe ALMOST EVERYTHING I READ. Please forget about whats on the other side of the universe and start thinking about whats on this planet and how we can help it.
What a sight that would be, I think it is important we learn as much as we can about our solar system. We are finding they all have effects that could have in the future, or may have happened in the past on our own rocky sphere. Knowledge is power and learning is a joy.

The reason why we have all the protective layers mentioned in this piece is not coincidental.
Our world, ( which is not a planet, btw, although everyone speaks of it in these terms ), is a carefully created phenomenon. For the “grammar Nazis ” mentioned above, the word derives from the Greek verb “to wander”; and we do not wander; “The world also is firmly stablished, it cannot be moved”.
“For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens, God Himself that formed the earth and made it, He hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited, I am the Lord, and there is none else”.
This phrase “created it not in vain” is the same phrase used in Genesis ch 1 verse 2, ie “And the earth was without form and void”. God did not create the world in this chaotic state; it became that way, ( “became” is the correct translation of the Hebrew verb “hayah”, which we incorrectly translate “was”) after He had created it, because of the angelic rebellion; whose outbreak in heaven resulted in the subsequent presence of Satan in the Garden of Eden.

Maybe NASA should research Dr. Frank Stranges and his Extra Terrestrial contact from Venus..who’s photo is on the internet with Pres. Eisenhower. This story is on Youtube. Dr. Stranges was investigating reports that ETs from Venus where visiting earth. He was eventually contacted by someone in Washington that invited him to come meet with them. He met with the space people from Venus and the photo of the venesiun space man is on the internet. He looks like us..but looks like a beautiful movie star and has not aged in decades. They live for hundreds or thousands of years. See this story and know that NASA’s story has to be false if they say the planet Venus is not inhabitated and inhospitable to humans. FALSE!
