Revealing a large heart-shaped bright area measuring some 1,200 miles (2,000 kilometres) across on the right, this image of Pluto from New Horizons’ Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) was received on 8 July, and has been combined with lower-resolution colour information from the Ralph instrument.
