Asteroids: There is one asteroid today, (2016 VE4) size 21 meters passing at the distance of 5.21 (LD). There is also one on the 18th, (2016 UY56) size 73 meters passing at the distance of 7.19 (LD).
(LD) lunar distance — all (LD)s are 10 or under and minimum distances.
Solar Winds: Earth is exiting a stream of solar wind. As a result forecasters say there is only a 10% chance of G1-class geomagnetic storms and auroras.
Sunspots: None of the sunspots on the solar disk pose a threat of solar flares at this time.
Earthquakes: There has been 18 quakes of 4+ magnitude in the last 11 hours. In Seddon, Marlborough and Kaikoura, Canterbury — New Zealand there are still quakes of 5+ magnitude going on. UPDATE — There has been quakes of 5+ magnitude in Edinburgh of the Seven Seas, Tristan da Cunha, Saint Helena over the last couple of hours. 2nd UPDATE — There has been quakes of 5+ magnitude in Jurm, Badakhshan, Afghanistan about an hour ago.
