Humanity has been plagued with his confusion over his Spiritual nature. Every conceivable avenue has and is being used to climb the ladder to Spirit realization, acceptance and understanding.
So why are there so many religions and Gods? They are all a form of Shaman or guide to help us in the beginning of the journey. The reason the world is failing today to achieve Spiritual enlightenment is because people are focusing on the guide and not on the path to enlightenment. This frustration allows for discourse and arguments even war among men over Gods and religion. No one fights over Spirit because there is nothing to fight about. There is no religiosity in Spirit.
The Universal Mind of Spirit is the power of all creation and the power behind all Gods and religions. Is it by stratagem or design that these entities have entrapped men into believing they are the truth and the light that man is seeking? This is a question each man needs to answer to continue on his journey. If a man after paying his homage, still hungers for Spirit and is appalled by the wars and separation, then his question about Gods and religion are answered. Man has become too credulous with his Gods.
The problem with knowing the Universal Mind is that it cannot be achieved through our earthly senses, human logic or man invented Gods, religions, wars or mind drugs. These things must be left behind to achieve true enlightenment and a conjoining with Spirit. Religion and Gods are an attempt to explain and understand Spirit. Spirit can never be understood…only realized. This is not the path of the atheist or agnostic to nothingness…this is the path to everything and oneness with all.
Just like parents there comes a time that we must leave the nest and journey farther on our own. Religions and Gods need not be abandoned just put into perspective. Spirit acceptance is added to all other things. The paths of Gods and religions are many and some are very bad and evil because they dead end with themselves in power and control. But there are some that help us to understand the existence of the unseen power that is the creator of the Universe. Once that realization and acceptance is achieved the true and real journey begins. A Spiritual journey is made alone until found inside you. Acceptance is in the heart and mind, not found in things and mythology made on earth. Once found inside your Spirit becomes your guide to the Universal Mind. You will no longer need Gods and religions of man.
Once a person archives this place of oneness with the Universal Mind his travel will exceed anything that the Gods or religion has or can teach him. The highest spiritual levels of existence are not learned of, they are experienced through acceptance and enlightenments that create the bond to the Spirit power that is and has been inside you and each of us all along.

Close. You are on the complete right path with the belief that religion is Man-Made. Life is definitely a spiritual path, but many distractions hold back man-kind from reaching the level of true enlightenment and spiritual guidance. One main distraction is the following of steps and doctrines of a chosen religion. Catholics don’t have to confess to a priest to be forgiven for sins, and neither does a Muslim woman need to wear a headdress to reach complete Spiritual Enlightenment. These were codes and rules created by man. Because of this, if a woman wears a long-skirt, and never cuts her hair, she believes that she is serving God’s will according to older Pentecostal-Christian doctrines. Many people fall for codes and rules but don’t look at the bigger picture, there is something past religion, which gives us reason to live, Spirit. But there infact must be something or someone that created us. We as humans are given the spirit by something or someone, given a purpose by something or someone, receive spiritual enlightenment by something or someone. So as man-made religion is, there is a greater Being that started things off. If there wasn’t, man-made religions wouldn’t have been made to find our creator. The idea of having a God wouldn’t exist if God, or a god didn’t exist. A man must live with morals and fulfill his purpose of destiny, and that is what a man should search for. Not his code, or religion to follow, but his purpose and reason for living.
