No, the Bible and Quran do not differ in minor ways. One book is from heaven and the other book is from the pits of hell. The God of the Bible is not the God of the Quran. The Quran urges Allah to destroy or curse Christians because they say Jesus is the Son of God (see Quran 9:30). The Quran also says the idea that God has a Son is an abomination (see Quran 19:88-89). And the Quran denies the resurrection of Jesus Christ (see Quran 4:157). So without Jesus as the Son of God, without the resurrection, there is no Gospel message of Christianity. And this is what the Bible says about erroneous Gospels like those preached to Mohammed by an angel posing as an angel of light:
“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!”

BIBLE 101 and QURAN 101:
The Bible commands believers to love God and to love others:
“And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.”
—Mark 12:30 and Deuteronomy 6:5
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
—Mark 12:31 and Leviticus 19:18
The Quran on the other hand, contains no such noble verses about loving others. Here are some commands by Mohammad to Muslims:
Quran 9.5 – So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Quran 48:25 – Muslims are harsh against the unbelievers, merciful to one another. –
Quran 48:29 – Muhammad is Allah’s apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another. Through them, Allah seeks to enrage the unbelievers. –
