Can Christians GRIEVE The Holy Spirit?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Well can they, and what if I were to tell you that it’s not possible for CALLED AND CHOSEN born of God (Born Again) Christians to grieve The Holy Spirit, would you believe me? Probably not, and the reason for that would be your unswerving belief in verse 30 of Ephesians chapter four:

Ephesians 4:30 (KJV) And grieve not The Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (Emphasis mine)

Here is the same verse in context:

Ephesians 4:29-32 (KJV) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister (bestow) grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not The Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Brackets and emphasis mine)

Please note, that I have included verses 29, 31 and 32 for good reason and will explain later in this article.

Now, as you probably know, I do not believe in the pagan heathen Trinity, like the Gadarene Swine majority of the counterfeit Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion. I believe in the only Godhead of The Father and The Son with The Holy Spirit as their Living Power or Living Force. This is the Duality Godhead as described by John in 1 John 2:22-24.

This also means I do not believe in a shell game sorcerer’s deity of now you see one, now you see three or now you see three in one or is it one in three!!?? I don’t know and, even more comically, nor do they!! LOL. Furthermore, I do not believe in a monotheistic deity either as followed by millions of duped and deceived Canaanite Jews and Muslims. Just a little background for this article.

It’s strange how things work out, isn’t it? because I recently received communications from a man who read my four part article entitled: “Exposing The Trinity Lie – Parts 1-5” and who seemed to be in agreement with its contents and its in depth revelations. However, unfortunately, he turned out to be seed that fell by the wayside and whatever he learned from my articles was quickly gobbled up by the wicked one. This resulted in him posting this comment amongst four others in a feeble attempt to prove that The Holy Spirit is a personage of a mickey mouse Trinity. Here is one of five parts of his short comment. The other four parts I deal with in Part 5 of “Exposing The Trinity Lie.”

1) “The Holy Spirit has emotions. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve (lupeo (pronounced loo-peh’-o)); to make sad or sorrowful, heavy of heart) not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

Here we can see that he claims The Holy Spirit has emotions, and all based upon his erroneous idea that The Holy Spirit is a personage or a being of a Trinity deity.

Now this verse, just like those spurious verses of Romans 13:1-7, Matthew 28:19 and 1 John 5:7-8, caused me a bit of a problem, because Ephesians 4:30 is definitely in the Greek Manuscripts and is not mentioned by any scholars, that I am aware of, as being suspicious or a spurious addition. Not only that, but the Greek Manuscript does support, more or less, what’s written in The KJV. Now that is unusual in itself when dealing with these Holy Spirit verses, because usually there are serious anomalies and pro-Trinity agenda translator corruptions galore and all revealed in my articles: “Exposing The Trinity Lie Parts 1-5” and “Do You Worship An Ogre God? Parts 1-4”

OK, so what gives? Not much, unless we look first at the context of these four verses, three of which are Holy Scriptures and one is not – one is a corruption by addition. Moreover, if we look at verses 26, 27 and 28 as well, we find that the context theme and thrust of what Paul was saying is just the same as in verses 29, 31 and 32 (the odd one out being verse 30) with various instructions on how we should be behaving or, rather, how we should not be behaving if we’re true sons and daughters of God.

So let’s paste all these verses without verse 30:

Ephesians 4:26-32 (KJV) Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to The Devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister (bestow) Grace unto the hearers. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Brackets mine – the word ‘minister’ = a religious hogwash word)

Now please pay attention, can you see the UNBROKEN subject continuity in these verses? I do hope so. Do any of them bear any relationship to The Holy Spirit as subject matter? Do they contain issues that would warrant a mention of The Holy Spirit? Who are these people that Paul is speaking to anyway? Are they already born of God and, if so, how long have they been born of God, if Paul is mentioning stealing, wrath, anger, bitterness and evil speaking? I would suggest that these brethren are infants and children with little maturity. However this is not the issue and is just an aside.

The point I am making is that this verse 30 with its grieving The Holy Spirit nonsense is a corruption by addition. Now I know that will shock many and some will say how can you say that and how can you be so sure? Well, the answer to that, apart from what I have already mentioned re the contextual issues, is written in the same verse:

Ephesians 4:30 (KJV) And grieve not The Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Have you spotted the gargantuan gaff? If not, I will explain. It’s saying we’re sealed until the day of redemption!!! Hello, excuse me!! We are sealed until WHEN!!?? It says: “The day of our redemption!!” But when are we redeemed? Answer: When we REPENT, confess our sins, we are Baptised and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit – that is the day of our redemption. So what is this sealed unto the day of redemption business all about? Do they really mean until the day of our resurrection, because that is NOT the day of our redemption and nor is it saying the day of our resurrection.

Furthermore, if we are born of God through Baptism and the gifting of the Holy Spirit WE ARE ALREADY REDEEMED – PERIOD!! So, again, what is this nonsense about being “sealed unto the day of our redemption”? Let’s also be sure about the brethren Paul is speaking to, for he says this to them:

Ephesians 4:22-24 (KJV) That ye put off concerning the former conversation THE OLD MAN, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in The Spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on THE NEW MAN, which after God is CREATED in righteousness and True Holiness. (All emphasis mine)

Now we must let this sink in, because only a born of God Christian can PUT OFF the old man, for only a born of God Christian has an OLD MAN!! The lost and unsaved do not have an old man. The old man will have died in the watery grave of Baptism, so no longer has any power nor any power over us. We therefore have the Power of The Holy Spirit to put off the old man and put on the NEW MAN which was created when we received the gift of The Holy Spirit.

So here is THE crucial question!! We are now Born Anew – WE ARE THE NEW MAN!! – THE NEW CREATION!! The OLD MAN is dead, it died in the Baptismal pool. So how can the NEW MAN grieve The Holy Spirit?? How can The Holy Spirit grieve The Holy Spirit??? The New Man is created by the presence of The Holy Spirit IN US!! DOH!!!

So from this we know for sure that these brethren were definitely Baptised and born of God, but were still children in The Faith, hence Paul’s admonishments.

Moreover, I have now proven, without a shadow of doubt, that these brethren were already redeemed i.e. they had already had their day of redemption. So I will ask again, what is this verse 30 of Ephesians 4 all about?

Answer: Cainite-Judeo-Christian religious hocus pocus and humbug is what it’s all about. This verse was penned by a very ignorant creature of the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion, probably a two-bit know-nothing philosopher who had no idea about redemption, nor when redemption takes place or how it takes place. Now dear people you must take this Truth on board.

You see, if this verse was added at a time when the water sprinkling of infants was the norm, say circa 380 AD under the guidance of blind guides like Augustine of Hippo, how could they have had any knowledge about the first century practice of full immersion Baptism and the gifting of The Holy Spirit – the point in time when we are redeemed or the day of our redemption?

From the “Catholic Answers” web page we get this load of nonsense. Please take note, for this proves my point that they know nothing about redemption or salvation and predecessors of people of this ilk would be quite capable of penning Ephesians 4:30 i.e. the same kind of mindset full the obligatory religious philosophical nonsense:

Basically, redemption is collective, while salvation is individual. Christ redeemed humanity collectively from slavery to sin and from the debt of punishment that mankind, as a whole, owed due to sin. Every person, Christian or non-Christian, is redeemed because he is a member of the human race. Salvation is the application of redemption to individuals. A person can choose to reject the graces won for him by Christ even though he has been redeemed.”

The other thing we must bear in mind is the Truth that most of the original Greek manuscripts were destroyed by the Roman goon Diocletian in 303 AD due to his first: “Edict against The Christians”. This meant very few original manuscripts were left and those that were left were often victims of the satanic agenda of the counterfeit church that was to become known The Roman Catholic Church or, better, The Roman Cult. Jerome, circa 390 AD, was the principal culprit in corrupting these Greek manuscripts when he penned and translated the Greek MSS into his Latin Vulgate Bible. If we then add in the Freemasons and ex-Papists (in reality no such thing) responsible for translating the KJV we can then understand how such a corruption could occur – a Trinity agenda corruption.

Having said all this are you saying that The Holy Spirit cannot be harmed in any way? No, for Paul says elsewhere that it can be quenched, which is a more accurate description of what can really occur to The Holy Spirit. This means people walk away from Yashua Messiah and turn their backs on Him and in so doing quench The Holy Spirit, but this damaging act does not prove that The Holy Spirit is a personage of a mythical, pagan, heathen Trinity deity.

“Can Christians GRIEVE The Holy Spirit?”

What do you mean by “GRIEVE”?

Grieve can mean something you have against another, eg grievance as per something that has caused you problems, as well mourning the loss of something or one. You can’t mourn the loss of something that isn’t lost, so you’re question makes no sense.

The meaning of the word ‘grieve’ is not relevant, because the verse is spurious.
