Jared Rosen began his journey in the 1970s as an artist in New York, went to Peru to study with the shamans, and worked with psychiatric patients in hospital. But it was facing a near-fatal illness and his own mortality that taught him the most.

Jared Rosen has been there and done more than many of us in his search of consciousness: he has been an artist in New York, studied with shamans in Peru, developed his own form of guided imagery, worked with psychiatric patients, and faced his own mortality. He is the author of Drowning In the Light: Memories of the New Age, and co-author of The Flip
