Did Jesus Free us from keeping the Law???

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

 Lets look to the writer that most often is contributed with teaching us this, PAUL:

JESUS FREED US FROM KEEPING THE LAW AND WHEN YOU TRY TO KEEP THE LAW YOU SIN AGAINST HIM.  ITS ALL ABOUT FAITH.

Rom 7:7  What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Let it not be! But I did not know sin except through Law; for also I did not know lust except the Law said, “You shall not lust.” Ex. 20:17
Rom 7:8  But sin taking occasion through the commandment worked every lust in me; for apart from Law, sin is dead.
Rom 7:9  And I was alive apart from Law once, but the commandment came, and sin came alive, and I died.
Rom 7:10  And the commandment which was to life, this was found to be death to me;
Rom 7:11  for sin taking occasion through the commandment deceived me, and through it killed me.
Rom 7:12  So indeed the Law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

so what is Paul speaking about here?  this is confusing language to use even to me who has studied for years and years, including the works of Paul.  Why is that?  Could it be that the spirit of antichrist wants so much to keep the real truth about the commandments of the Elohim hidden from the world?  I believe that to be true. So lets take this line  by line and look at it closely to see exactly what Paul is trying to convey to us about THE LAW.

Rom 7:7  What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Let it not be! But I did not know sin except through Law; for also I did not know lust except the Law said, “You shall not lust.” Ex. 20:17

so is it sin to keep the law?  he says let it not be , exclamation point.  Emphatically no, cannot possible be, KEEPING THE LAW IS NOT SIN, …..  unless…

Rom 7:8  But sin taking occasion through the commandment worked every lust in me; for apart from Law, sin is dead.

Paul is talking about who he used to be before Messiah met him on the road to Damascus.  He was not just keeping the Laws or the Commandments of Torah.  Paul was keeping the “Oral traditions, and the commandments as taught by the learned elders through Babylon. ( yes I did that on purpose because the same spirit that works there works in all things evil)  The Talmud was the “other book” that Paul could quote from, if he so chose.  He used it to interpret the commandments.  He learned at the feet of Gamiel, one of the most noted scholars of the day, but know this.  Gamiel learned through the Talmud, one of the most heinous books ever written, while it is supposedly commentary on the Torah.  What is really is , is a cursed book.  Why?  Because it adds to the commands of Yahuah, and that in itself is a mark for “the curse”.

Deu_4:2  You shall not add to the Word which I command you, nor take from it, to keep the commandments of Jehovah your God which I command you.

Deu_12:32  All the things that I command you, take heed to do them and you shall not add to it, nor take away from it.

Deu 11:26  Behold! I set before you today a blessing and a curse:
Deu 11:27  a blessing if you hear the commandments of Jehovah your God which I command you today;
Deu 11:28  and a curse if you will not hear the commandments of Jehovah your God, but will turn aside out of the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.

The learned elders , rabbis and scholars who wrote the Talmud did just that.  That was what Yahusha ( Jesus) rebelled against in Jerusalem, and that temple crowd, the Pharasee’s and the Sadducee’s. not Torah, not His Father’s Commandments.  He kept every one of those, but He rejected all the added in bits and pieces that came from the Talmud.  Hand washing is a good example of that that we can take a look at to see:

Mat 15:2  Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.
Mat 15:3  But answering He said to them, Why do you also transgress the command of God on account of your tradition?
Mat 15:4  For God commanded, saying, “Honor your father and mother,” Ex. 20:12; Deut. 5:16 and, “The one speaking evil of father or mother, by death let him die.” Ex. 21:17

So why did Messiah bring up this law the one after “keep the sabbath holy”?  honor your father and mom. ??? do you know?? because the “learned elders ” in their “commentary and writing of the “oral laws” ( which was BS for sure, no such thing ever) wrote in the Talmud ways to get around the commandments.  Things you could do to “not break” the law, but bend them to your personal desires and needs.  Look to what Messiah says next to fully comprehend this:

Mat 15:5  But you say, Whoever says to the father or the mother, A gift, whatever you would gain from me;
Mat 15:6  and in no way he honors his father or his mother. And you annulled the command of God on account of your tradition.
Mat 15:7  Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy concerning you, saying:
Mat 15:8  “This people draws near to Me with their mouth, and with their lips honor Me; but their heart holds far off from Me.
Mat 15:9  But in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.” Isa. 29:13

So they give DORON:greek

G1435

δῶρον
dōron
do’-ron
A present; specifically a sacrifice: – gift, offering.
Total KJV occurrences: 19

 G2878( Hebrew)

κορβᾶν, κορβανᾶς
korban    korbanas
kor-ban’, kor-ban-as’
Of Hebrew and Chaldee origin respectively [H7133]; a votive offering and the offering; a consecrated present (to the Temple fund); by extension (the latter term) the Treasury itself, that is, the room where the contribution boxes stood: – Corban, treasury.

The holier than thou men did not want to take care of their parents who were in need, but instead gave  what they had given in sacrifice to the temple.  rather than doing what the parents needed, say pay their roman taxes even though he had the money to do so.  This was the kind of thing you can learn how to do in the Talmud to get around keeping the law as it was written in the Torah.   Another  type was this washing your hands ritual.  ” you hold the cup of water in your left hand , stream it over your right making sure that it falls from the fingertip to the elbow into a bowl, then you take the cup in your right hand and pour it, blah blah blah blah blah.” I am sure this was made up by some germaphobe who was determined not to eat off the plate with those who he had not seen wash their hands properly, but it was never written or told to Moses to write.  And nothing that wasn’t written was suppose to be called law.

If your preacher or teacher is telling you that Messiah came to free us from the law and that we don’t have to even read or know it then he is sadly a false teacher and an antichrist, for Messiah said this over and over  and over:

Mat_5:19  Therefore, whoever relaxes one of these commandments, the least, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of Heaven. But whoever does and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of Heaven.

What the man was doing was relaxing the commandments by not honoring his mother and father and helping them , yet giving money to the temple instead.   Do you get it yet?

That was the death Paul was a part of before he met Messiah.  That was the law that he was keeping, not the Torah, not just the Torah.  He had been studying and following all these traditions of men as if they were the commands of the Elohim and that is just as much sin as not keeping the law in the first place.  It both is death.

Rom 7:9  And I was alive apart from Law once, but the commandment came, and sin came alive, and I died.

This is where Paul met Messiah and died to this dead system of Judaism that has added to and taken away from the commandments.  And instead he too became one who wanted to be just like Messiah.  His desire was to love His Elohim and to show Him that love by doing what Messiah said to do:

Joh_14:15  If you love Me, keep My commandments.

Joh_14:21  He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is that one who loves Me; and the one that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and will reveal Myself to him.

That last verse should help you understand why not too many Pharasee’s and Sadducees knew Messiah when they saw him.  They were not really keeping the commandments at all.  They had broken every one of them in their hearts by adding the Talmud as commands to their minds.

Rom 7:10  And the commandment which was to life, this was found to be death to me;
Rom 7:11  for sin taking occasion through the commandment deceived me, and through it killed me.
Rom 7:12  So indeed the Law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

So now Paul is showing us how the commandments can bring death or life.  Death if you do like he did and add to or take from them. but with Messiah in your heart and the Holy Spirit to guide strengthen and help us we can all keep His commandments and have all the promises He promised us.  Its a contract, Messiah is the key and the door to getting into the building to have this contract with the Elohim, without him, you cannot come in.  But once you have Him, for real, you WANT to show your Father and Him your love and you WANT to worship them in TRUTH.   That TRUTH IS HIS WORD, including His commandments.  Know them understand them, do them and be blessed.

Because Father did not suddenly change His mind.  He knew what He was doing all along.  And by the way the only  WORD OF THE LORD, Paul had was the OLD TESTAMENT.  He told Timothy many times in his letter to him to just teach Torah and the prophets.

Don’t let the Sadducees and Pharasees of the church steal your real blessing from you.  Open your eyes and see His truth.  The commandments are our guide to what is sin and what is not sin.  We keep from sin in order to be pleasing to our Father and be good parrticipants of His covenant, and without Messiah we cannot enter into it… He frees us from death, and the sins when we fail, but not from Father’s Laws.  That is the measure of what is sin and what is not sin.

If you think about this you will know its true.  How can Jesus free us from the Law, and the church still condemn abortion or homosexuality?  You cannot.  If He freed us from keeping the law its got to be the whole law.  Murder, lust, theft.  Do you really think that is  what Messiah came to us to do, make us into LAWLESS PEOPLE?  wake up, wake up. wake all the way up.
