Revelation 3

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

By Pastor Joseph Chambers  /  Paw Creek Ministries

It takes my breath to know it is “Home going time.” The world is becoming so filthy that our Father must call a halt to the downward trend. The world is insane over pleasure because it is their survival. People in many cases are making so much money that they are searching for ways to spend it. The Father has planned this day all the way back to creation. He created Adam and Eve to be the grand family of His Son. He charged them to multiply so that the family could be large and joyous.

The Rapture is the final moment of six thousand years of multiplying His happy crowd to love and relish. We are not an accident but a “planned multitude.” He is getting us ready so we can fly to His planned celebration. The Bridegroom will be ready and the hour will be well planned. The angels are busy preparing every mansion and the wedding party will soon be there. There has never been an event to compare with the “Wedding Supper.”

Nine Absolutes for a Pre-Tribulation Rapture

  1. It fits Biblical precedence.
  2. The Church is to be judged before the world.
  3. The Bride is to be presented to Christ before the End Time events.
  4. His absolute promise is given to keep His faithful bride from the Great Tribulation.
  5. The Pre-Tribulation Rapture is the only time that “some will be taken and some will be left.”
  6. A unique time when those watching will be taken and others will be left.
  7. The Law of the Farmer that has governed the world and all history.
  8. The Holy Scripture offers powerfully that the Antichrist cannot be revealed until the restraining forces are removed.
  9. The Lord emphatically promised that He would catch away His chosen to meet Him in the air.

There is an unprecedented level of love that Jesus Christ, in His exalted glory, clearly reveals for His Body, the church. These seven letters show that great love, His complete knowledge of His church, His correction, and above all His great plans for the church’s future.  He corrects because He will judge and reward nothing but faithfulness.  There is a consciousness all through these letters of the impending tribulation and a desire to help His Saints escape that dark hour and be found ready for the Rapture of His espoused bride.  In every letter, He ends with a promise for the overcomers.  The very word overcomer carries a dire warning of troubles to face and a glorious victory for facing those troubles and challenges with triumph.

Every one of the seven churches has had a counterpart in every hour of the church dispensation. Often, the Smyrna churches were hidden away in mountains or meeting in secret in the cities.  The Thyatira churches were loving the woman Jezebel and reveling in the careless living she championed.  The faithful of the Lord Jesus Christ were, in many cases, serving Christ in spite of rejection and suffering the hatred of those that compromise.  There has always been a remnant in spite of all hellish actions on the part of the enemy within and the enemy without.  The Lord of the church walked among His pilgrim people, whether it was in a cave, a dungeon, or a cathedral.  These letters represent the most current and absolute facts about His relationship to His church in the entire Word of God.

“And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent.  If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” Revelation 3:1-3

Church historians believe that the Sardis church represents the church of the reformation. Of course, that would only reflect the major events of Martin Luther, John Calvin, and other reformation leaders.  It was during this period that smaller groups, mostly rejected and persecuted, were the real Biblical churches walking in fundamental Christianity.  We will see references to those groups in Revelation 3:4.  The churches of the reformation never truly turned from many of the doctrines and questionable teachings of the dark ages.  There was almost no prophetic preaching that included this Book of Revelation and this great hope of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture.  Replacement theology that relegated Israel to the ashes was still believed and preached by many.  Post-millennialism or A-millennialism was the major doctrine of the reformation churches.  Justification was a major step forward, but New Testament Evangelism and Spirit-filled churches were still left for future progress.  This period covered the years 1517-1790.

The Lord said, “Thou hast a name that thou livest and art dead.” This statement could not describe the above truth better.  The Lord pleaded, “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain.” He makes great references to the Rapture, “…thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” There have been Sardis churches all throughout the church age and there are a multitude of these churches at present.  He will shortly come upon them as a thief.

“Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”  Revelation 3:4-6

Here are those remnant saints that refused to be bound by the doctrines of men. These are saints of God, which have not defiled their garments.  These are the Rapture-ready saints “…and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.” If you will take a look at the elders in chapter four after the rapture, you will see the faithful company.  These seven letters show that the great Lord of the church maintains perfect control.  He knows our thoughts afar off and His judgment is perfect.  History reflects a pilgrim church far out of the mainstream, but faithful to the Word of God.

2 Peter 3

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Two books that every Christian should read are Foxe’s Book of Martyrs and The Pilgrim Church.  There are powerful records of that pilgrim church where literally millions of saints have been killed for their faith.  The Anabaptist Christians existed over hundreds of years and covered several different periods of these churches.  The Waldensians and Albigenses were some of God’s choice saints.  There were thousands of lesser groups that filled communities with revival and then filled the same communities with their blood of martyrdom.  There were a host of such saints whose names will not be honored until that marvelous day of reckoning.  Every overcomer will be greatly rewarded and will be the hero of our future.

Do not miss the great promise to the church of Sardis. Remember that the seven letters contained many promises, all of them are really for all of His church.  He said to those faithful to Him and that are overcomers of the flesh, the world, and the devil, “But I will confess His name before my Father and before His angels.” That has to be the highest honor in the world.

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” Revelation 3:7-9

This church is the perfect model and type of the church age existing from the end of the eighteenth century (approximately A.D. 1790) until the Rapture. The open door of evangelism, missions, and the general spiritual atmosphere has been phenomenal.  The early church periods, typified in Ephesus and Smyrna, have been the only periods with which to compare.  The dark ages snuffed out the light and, by God’s grace, the world witnessed a marvelous reoccurrence of revival.  It is clear from Scripture and the history of this period that the move could have been more expansive and supernatural.  He stated, “For thou hast a little strength.” Both periods that include the Ephesus and Smyrna churches as well as the Philadelphia churches have faced many difficult periods of false religious, false prophets, and satanic attacks.  Every one of the struggles has been duly recorded, and the false crowd will be required to worship before the feet of Jesus.  Most of our church world has become so accepting of the false doctrines that they think a mixture is acceptable with God.  The statement above is wonderful proof of our God’s total commitment to pure truth.

I often hear Christians erroneously say, “I eat the meat and spit out the bone.” These seven letters are positive truth that we should reject all Biblical error and have neither time nor space for heresy.  The Philadelphia church period is extremely strong in denouncing the synagogues of Satan.  A little error may not harm a few strong souls but always destroys a multitude in the end.  Error progresses downhill and creates more and more damage as it worsens.  The Lord promises great benefits and blessings to the defenders of His Infallible Word.  He will show the world His love for His revelations.

“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”  Revelation 3:10-13

Mark 13

21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

As I previously mentioned, the coming tribulation is evident all throughout these letters to the church. It has been made plain in the Second Testament that His saints are not appointed to wrath, “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” I Thessalonians 5:9.   The term overcomers was very appropriate as the constant reminder that something was pending, and being overcomers was a prerogative for His church.  He told the church of Thyatira that those that loved the woman Jezebel and her deception were going to be cast into the Great Tribulation.  There is only one Great Tribulation.  He warned the church of Sardis that were overcomers, “I will not blot out his name.” We will discuss a similar warning to the church of Laodicea.

His promise of the Rapture before the Tribulation to the church of Philadelphia is one of the surest in the entire Second Testament. The words are plain that a great event is about to happen on this earth “which shall come upon all the world to try them that dwell upon the earth.” The entire world and all of mankind is going to be put through the utter judgment to try their souls unto life or death.  There is only one way of escape, and He made it clear that we are the company that has the privilege.  Even within the church there is a narrow margin.  A very specific crowd will escape, and He describes them plainly. “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour.” No way to doubt or to swing a deal.  The overcomers will be out of here before the terrible wrath of God is poured on this earth.  It is a powerful promise from the Lord of the church and cannot be broken.

The Master adds a warning, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. And in the daytime he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the Mount of Olives.  And all the people came early in  the morning  to  Him in the temple, for to hear him” Luke 21:36-38.  The Bible affirms to us that the entire judgment period begins with His church.  He states, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God …” I Peter 4:17a.  The promises that end each letter grow in beauty and purpose to excite His saints.  We were never meant to live gloomy lives.  The word hope in Scripture means “joyous anticipation.”  Hope is the certainty of the promises that cannot fail to fill the hearts of the faithful.  The Lord will have a new name, the people will speak a pure, new language; and His saints will be identified with His Son’s new name written in eternal glorified bodies.  Hear carefully what the Holy Spirit is saying to the churches “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God” Revelation 3:14.

He uses one of His most magnificent names as He begins His last letter to the last of the church age. Not only is this the last of the church age, it is the most dire warning to the church world from then until now.  He says this letter is from “The Amen.” I’m always amazed at the doomsayers when they predict the world’s ideas of destroying His earth. “The Amen” is going to take care of that, and He will have the last word.  He is also named “the faithful and true witness.” The names of our Lord used in each address to the churches serve to strengthen the commendations and condemnations.  The truths He speaks can be rejected only by absolute judgment.  Every word will be fulfilled and every correction will be obeyed or serve as witness in the coming judgment.  These great teachings are not suggestions.

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” Revelation 3:15-18

Malachi 3

17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

This church is in dark trouble. The meaning of her name is an expression of her character.  The “church of mob rule,” is a period in which every man is a law unto himself and where the Holy Scripture has been reduced to a cafeteria diet.  This “pick and choose” treatment of the Word of God is death to the soul in every case.  This church period is the last of the church age and shows that the prophetic words of Jesus Christ, as recorded in Matthew, has indeed occurred, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24:12.  The fire of the Holy Ghost is gone, and the church world is spiritually dead, although it numbers a multitude.

His judgment of this condition is severe. Our present church life is a confused dichotomy.  We have the experimental element where doctrine is unimportant and the systems of theology where experience is rejected.  Both extremes are contrary to Scripture.  A lukewarm church life can be attributed to both extremes.  The best theology is death without experiencing the life of the Holy Spirit.  The experience of religion without the guideline of great truths is also death.  These two mindsets have plagued the church in every period of church history, but have certainly reached a zenith in this last church.  He condemns the coldness of such church life and rejects it from the body life of His own Rapture-ready Bride.  He said, “I will spue them out of my mouth.”

Such churches are normally the richest of all. All worldly church members normally want a church free of strong guidelines, where self can reign unchecked.  It does not matter much in what extreme direction a church may go as long as there are no restraints on self.  Any system of religion will grow, prosper, and become great if the cross life is absent.  The one area that unconverted or unsanctified flesh cannot handle is the separated life of Bible righteousness.  This Laodicean church has made the cross life the worst enemy and has championed unsanctified living.  The Lord’s words make that very plain, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear.” Spiritual death has robbed this church of life because the spiritual is only present in death to self.

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Revelation 3:19-22

His love is the love of a Father that cannot bear to offer the ones He loves an unmanly devotion, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.” Who could ever want a love that allows the one loved to destroy themselves?  But, His love was not a distant love but a love of one standing at the door.  The Lord is ready to so consume with love that His rebuke is nothing less than joy.  His love walks in the midst of His church offering His great promises.

This closing statement to the church shows the perfect unity of the seven letters. All of His overcomers will be judged individually and rewarded individually, but there is still a unity in His promises.  This last inclusiveness is to all overcomers. “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

Conclusion

Every identification of the Lord to His church recalls a portion of His revelation in chapter one and every promise is part and lot of the total of all seven. Also, in each ending to all seven churches, He states, “what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Notice, He says “churches” in the plural.  They are separate and different but all part of one church.  It’s important that no correction is rejected.  All of each letter is a final warning and promise.  The Rapture is at hand and there will be no additional warning before He appears.

Joe you are one very very deceived fellow as is John Rolls

I will ask you both a question regarding the scripture you included in your article.

“Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” Revelation 3:7-9′

Guys, can any but God be worshiped?? Why then does Christ tell the Saints of God that He will MAKE those claiming to be Christians (Jews) to come and worship before their feet. Fake christians are going to worship the resurrected Saints of God?

    • Truthseeker

Joe and John, Jesus Christ answered His detractors — neither of you will ?

Why because you have already twisted the truth to the breaking point!!

Do you even have a guess as to why Jesus Christ will make humans i.e. fake christians, worship the resurrected Saints of God?

    • Truthseeker

Joe and John when world war three begins and millions have and are dying of famine, disease and the “sword” you will think you have been “left behind” —Only then will you know the rapture is a lie — but until that day you will cling to the false hope of saving your skin, your temporary place of dwelling that will for certain return to dust.

I do not understand how you folks can imagine or believe God does not have the power to physically protect HIS People here on HIS earth?

Nor do I comprehend how or why all of the Scriptures that clearly state the resurrected Saints of God will rule here on the earth with Christ are so easily over looked or just ignored?

Why do you not comprehend ” The Meek shall inherit the earth”?

So sad!! IT’s all there in God’s Word

    • Alan Schuetz

Let’s dispel one of the larger lies of most Christian churches — a pre-Tribulation rapture:

Matthew 24:29 “But immediately AFTER THE TRIBULATION [emphasis mine] of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky [lit. heaven], and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect [lit. chosen ones] from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. (NASB)

Mark 13:24 “But in those days, AFTER THE TRIBULATION [emphasis mine], the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, 25 and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. 26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect [lit. chosen ones] from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven. (NASB)

This represents two witnesses in the synoptic Gospels. So, if ANYONE teaches a pre-tribulation rapture, they are a false teacher; it’s as simple as that. Matthew 10:22, 24:13 and Mark 13:13 all state that those who endure to the end (i.e., remain a believer in Christ until death) will be saved. REPENT!

      • Truthseeker

Iaschuetz again I compliment you, Matthew and Mark are two witnesses that agree — the resurrection occurs AFTER the tribulation and after the heavenly signs and then the Son of Man comes in the clouds and the first resurrection will take place.

The Word of GOD never uses the term rapture because it does not teach a rapture and neither it does teach any will go the the 3rd heaven.

But I have one comment regarding this statement:d (i.e., remain a believer in Christ until death).

Much more is required than simple belief, Christ states we must be DOERS of the Word.
“WHY call you ME LORD LORD and DO NOT the things I say?”

If you love me keep the commandments.

The time for repentance is almost over — the remnant of the nations of the House of Israel will not be brought to repentance until the end of the Great Tribulation. Until that time repentance will be a rare event.

        • Alan Schuetz

We can agree to disagree regarding works…

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” (NASB)

Most Christian churches have no idea what Grace is; it is a judicial pardon (aka clemency) that will be issued by Christ on Judgment Day on a future Yom Kippur. Those who believe in Him will be pardoned from sin — not judged. Unbelievers will be judged by the Law, found guilty, and thrown into Gehenna — that is known as the second death. They will be in eternal torment.

Believers have the indwelling Holy Spirit in their circumcised hearts. A believer’s body is the Temple, and their heart is the Holy of Holies. Once we have the indwelling Holy Spirit, we will naturally desire to do good works and follow the Law because it is written in our hearts:

Romans 2:12 For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; 13 for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, 16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus. (NASB)

However, at the First Council of Jerusalem, the following was determined:

Acts 15:19 Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, 20 but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. (NASB)

So, believe in Christ, and abstain from: 1) things contaminated by idols, 2) fornication, 3) that which has been strangled, and 4) blood.

          It’s really that simple…

        • Alan Schuetz

Since you mentioned the “third heaven,” this study is appropriate.
          =======
Believers’ Souls Do NOT Go To Heaven!

One of the biggest hoaxes that modern churches have thrust upon us is concerning the disposition of the soul after death. Almost universally, Christians will vehemently state the souls of deceased believers immediately go to Heaven, but that is NOT what the Scriptures state. So, if not Heaven, then where (if anywhere)?

Most Christians believe they belong to “New Testament churches;” therefore, they have no use for the Old Testament. But, what did Christ say on this subject? Examine Matthew 5:17-19: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+5%3A17-19&version=NASB. Is Christ a liar? Have all things been fulfilled? If you think so, then why is there a need for His Second Coming?

In fact, this ALL revolves around His Second Coming and the appointed times (Heb. mo’edim) in the Fall — known by the Jewry as the Days of Awe. So, where do ALL souls go after death — both the righteous and the wicked? The Bible calls this specific place by three names:

          * Sheol (65x in the OT) – http://biblehub.com/hebrew/7585.htm;
          * Hades (10x in the NT; 4x in Revelation) – http://biblehub.com/greek/86.htm; and
          * Paradise (3x in the NT; this portion of Sheol/Hades is for believers only) – http://biblehub.com/greek/3857.htm.

To be perfectly clear, none of these is Hell (which is a misnomer; see http://biblehub.com/greek/1067.htm) nor the false precept of Purgatory; see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purgatory.

This is what the Bible states, and this is but a sampling of each:

          * Numbers 16:25-35 (concentrate on vv 30,33 as well as the footnotes): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Numbers+16%3A25-35&version=NASB
          * Job 7:7-10 (notice that it’s always DOWN to Sheol): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Job+7%3A7-10&version=NASB
          * Acts 2:22-36 (concentrate on vv 27,30-31,34-35): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts+2%3A22-36&version=NASB

The passage in Acts 2 is important as even Christ’s soul descended into the netherworld of Sheol/Hades/Paradise. Recall that He was dead and buried for THREE DAYS AND NIGHTS (15-17 Abib) in accordance with the Jonah prophesy; see https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+12%3A38-41&version=NASB.

Examine the Greek word translated as “Paradise” again: http://biblehub.com/greek/3857.htm. It is a park, a garden, an enclosure! The souls of both the righteous and the wicked DESCEND to the netherworld — using whatever name desired: Sheol, Hades, or Paradise.

          * Ezekiel 31:15-17 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel+31%3A15-17&version=NASB
          * Luke 23:39-43: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+23%3A39-43&version=NASB

Can you handle the truth? Judgment Day — aka the great and terrible Day of the Lord — will occur on a future Yom Kippur (=Day of Atonement). The flip-side of atonement is… judgment!

          * Revelation 20:12-15: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+20%3A12-15&version=NASB

Those who are TRUE believers in Christ (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+3%3A16-21&version=NASB) will be given Grace, which is a judicial pardon on Judgment Day at His Second Coming! His First Coming was as the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 who brought salvation to the world. His Second is as the conquering priestly king of the order of Melchizedek (Heb. Malki-tsedeq; =my king is righteous[ness]) vanquishing all evil and establishing His Kingdom — where believers will ultimately reside — on the New Earth.

Those who do not believe in Him will be judged by the Law of Moses, found guilty, and will be thrown into the lake of fire known as Gehenna; examine http://biblehub.com/greek/1067.htm again.

Only three people, who were born incarnate on Earth, are currently in Heaven: 1) Christ, who was resurrected, transfigured, and ascended to the right hand of the Father; 2) Enoch; and 3) Elijah. The latter two are the witnesses (or the metaphorical lampstands [representing the Light of the Word] and olive trees [representing the anointing of the Word]) of Revelation. As ALL humans MUST die (i.e., the first death), the two witnesses will as well in Jerusalem; see https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+11%3A3-13&version=NASB.

Note: Jerusalem is mystically called Sodom and Egypt in this passage; it is also called Mystery Babylon as rabbinic Jews follow the Babylonian calendar in which the fourth month is named after the Babylonian deity Tammuz, put more faith in the Talmud Bavli (Babylonian Talmud) than they do in the TaNaKh (OT), and recite Adonai for the Tetragrammaton which invokes the Greek Adonis and Babylonian Tammuz. That’s why it’s necessary for an undefiled New Jerusalem to descend from the New Heaven to the New Earth. Also, the two witnesses are taken back up into Heaven after they are resurrected. Their bodies/temples were specially prepared (or at least Enoch’s was documented as being so); in the Book of Enoch, what appeared to be a hot coal was pressed to his lips to purify him. Focus on v5 if anyone desires to harm them before their time of prophesying is completed; see https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+11%3A5&version=NASB. These are no longer regular human beings as we know them.

After the wicked are thrown into Gehenna in perpetuity, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb between Christ and the New Jerusalem will commence on Sukkot (=Feast of Tabernacles); see https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+21%3A9-14&version=NASB.

To recap, this is the order of the resurrection that will occur just before Judgment Day: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+15%3A20-58&version=NASB.

So, there you have it, folks… The souls of the deceased — even the righteous/elect — are certainly NOT in Heaven. Not Adam, who was a literal son of God (see Luke 3:38); not Abraham; not Moses; not David; not Mary — NO ONE save Christ at this time.

          Shema Yisrael!

Rather then address every point I would rather explain how I determine what is true and what is not true from God’s Word.

If I want to understand the term “works” I assemble as many scriptures as I can find from the Old and the New that pertain to that subject. And then if there are 15 scriptures that are clear and one that is fuzzy I use the 15. Most of the time the fuzzy one will become clear as I dig deeper,

I am following the directions given by Isaiah in 28: 9 – 13

9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

Those that can digest the strong meat of the WORD.

10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Isaiah is stating doctrines and knowledge are scatter here a little and there a little and must be assembled from the entire Word before one can arrive at the correct understanding. Precept (built) upon precept – one precept must join with the next perfectly.

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

God did not make things crystal clear on purpose.

12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: —- yet they would not hear.

13 But the word of the LORD —was (given) unto them — precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

The Word was written as a snare to snare those that work iniquity. “yet they would not hear.”

And I use logic to validate what I find to be the Truth.

After assembling many many scriptures I found none can ever be saved by works — while we were – still -sinners Christ died for us. We can be saved ONLY by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Passover. Salvation is a free gift!

BUT we are rewarded according TO our Works. The parable of the pound gives the insight; The more growth, the more fruit you produce the greater the reward. The man that had 5 pounds and increased it to 10 was given 10 Cities to rule, the man that hid his one pound had it taken away.

Paul also states to the effect: show me your faith without works “if you can” and I will demonstrate I have Faith — BY MY WORKS. Again Christ makes the statement: “Why call you ME LORD LORD and DO NOT the things I say?”

Lord means master and Christ states He is our Master and our Master gives us duties to perform and it is our duty as slaves to obey the voice of our Master. There is no reward for doing ones duty. See Luke 17: 9

I used the same process with the problem of Elijah and Enoch going to heaven.

Christ stated no one had been to heaven but He that came down from Heaven and Paul states in Hebrews 11: 13 —-“These “’all”’ died in faith, not having received the promises, —- but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”

All those listed in the Faith chapter — all DIED! And none have received the promise thus none have been changed to spirit and none have gone to heaven.

Paul further states: 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, —- received not the promise:

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that –they –(Elijah & Enoch and all the others) without us should not be made perfect.

Paul is making the point — every last Holy ONE of God will be resurrected and given eternal life at the same time i.e. at that First Resurrection at the return of Jesus Christ.

As you can see I do not find any have already been or will be taken to heaven.

The above is an extremely shorten study given as an example.

            A few short comments:

We do not have a soul we “are souls’, i.e. living breathing creatures.

If Jesus Christ was not dead and in His grave for 3 days and 3 nights then He is not our savior. If a “soul” went some where –it was then NOT DEAD. Christ had to die and cease to exist just like us. If He went somewhere then He did not die for our sins.

5 For the living know that they shall die: — but the dead know not any thing,

10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, —in the grave, —whither thou goest.

            Dead is dead!

To demonstrate more is required then simply believing, here Christ instructs the rich man to keep the commandments if he desires eternal life.

And also if this rich man were an immortal soul then he already has eternal life.

We are to prove all things – God gave us logic for that purpose.

16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, — that I may have eternal life?

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, —- keep the commandments.

18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

If we desire eternal life we also must keep the 10 Commandments, it is required by our Master, it is our duty.

20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

The rich man’s god was his possessions thus he put wealth before GOD.

When was the Holy Spirit, our Helper and Teacher, sent to reside in the circumcised hearts of believers? On the Feast of Weeks (aka Pentecost) in 36 CE. At that point, the “truth” was made known to ALL.

From a Hebraic standpoint, what was the “truth?” From Matthew 23, we know that it was not Pharisaism. From Matthew 22:23-45, we know it was not the Sadducees. So, what was left? Who was Sha’ul going to persecute under orders from the Great Sanhedrin? The men and women of The Way in Damascus. What did Paulos say after his conversion?

Acts 24:14 But this I admit to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect I do serve the God of our fathers, believing everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets; 15 having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. 16 In view of this, I also do my best to maintain always a blameless conscience both before God and before men. (NASB)

So, The Way (Heb. HaDerech) holds the truth! Where do we discover The Way? The Dead Sea Scrolls! Titus Flavius Josephus (né Yosef ben Matityahu), a self-described Pharisee and Jewish historian for the Romans, coined the derogatory term Essenes (=pious ones); it is still used today to hide the “truth.”

Yochanan studied in the (desert) wilderness (of Qumran); see Luke 1:80. He was the voice crying out in the wilderness (of Qumran), which is 15 miles to the east of Jerusalem as the crow flies. Those were the wise men of the east, and they certainly had the means to gift gold, frankincense, and myrrh based on the discovery of the Copper Scroll; see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper_Scroll.

This is the calendar they used: http://www.haderech.info/DSS/Calendar/QumranCalendar.pdf. This is how they accounted for the days in the year: http://www.haderech.info/DSS/1Enoch/1Enoch-Sun.pdf. This is how they accounted years: http://www.haderech.info/DSS/Calendar/4Q319.pdf.

Do you want to know why this is the “truth?” Because no church nor synagogue teaches this today. I’ve spent 20 years “groping for The Way,” and if you’d read the DSS, you’d know the significance of that phrase.

Unless the Father calls a person TO Jesus Christ they can not find HIM on their own.

44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me — draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Many are called and few are chosen.

This is NOT the only day of salvation

Laschuetz I belong NOT to one of the 40,000 flavors of so called Christianity and never have. I abhor so called christianity.

I follow Jesus Christ, for 50 years I have kept the Sabbath, God’s Holy Feasts, the statutes of clean and unclean meats and I live by the Torah as did Jesus Christ and all 13 Apostles.

The Parable of the Marriage Feast is just another way of telling the Parable of the Ten Virgins:

              https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+22%3A1-14%3B+Matthew+25%3A1-13&version=NASB

Many call themselves Christians, but the Holy Spirit does not reside in them. Actually, the ENTIRE WORLD IS CALLED, but few take God up on the offer… Therefore, they are not chosen. They just had to believe in Yehoshu’a HaMashiach (Joshua the Messiah/Christ). That’s why it’s important to know His Name! Can you truly know someone if you don’t know their name? It’s NOT Jesus…

Lascheutz s this your point regarding Hebrews 10?

1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

The sacrificial law, which was added because of transgressions, can never make the one offering it perfect BUT the sacrifices are the school master that leads us to Christ. see verse 3.

Jeremiah 7:22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. Sacrifice was never included in the covenant.

2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

If the Law was not included in the new covenant — then it would be impossible to sin thus there would be no further need for the sacrifice of Christ.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

verse 26 is proof the New covenant contains the Law,

1 John 3; 4 for sin is the transgression of the Law.

I do not see the marriage and the 10 virgin’s parable as making the same point.

And as far as the entire world being called — what happens to the children that die or those that do not even make it out of the womb alive because they are aborted. Actually murdered.

this is not the only day of salvation if it were then God is very very weak, out of 7.5 billion today only about 1.5 billion are connected to what could vaguely be called Christian. So God saves a few of the 1.5 billion and maybe 7 billion do not make it??

the WWW has estimated from Adam until now 100 billion have lived and died. If this were the only day of salvation God is only saving what 10% maybe 20% max not a great plan is it????

In the Old testament times until Christ there were maybe 400 + – that God Called — were the other millions just cast into the garbage can?

Again this present age in not the only day of salvation, Revelation 20 states after the 1000 years the rest of the dead are returned to physical live (2nd resurrection) and judged over a 100 year period. See Ezekiel 37 for the 2nd exodus.

Laschuetz I do not read the comments from biblegateway or any other sites. Comments from the unconverted have no value. I don’t look to any so called christian church or organization ??? for truth — they have none.
