Ahhhh! Resistance, that bullshit mind chatter again…
For me writing has been in me to give since I can remember, however with it also came resistance and resistance showed up with many faces and masked as many things.
Beginning with a grade school English teacher telling me I’d never be a writer.
I didn’t believe her then. But through out the years I strayed from that path as it was further spoken to me by others.
My grammar and spelling haven’t always been on point, however my ability to translate my thoughts through writing has.
And alas as I work on my very first book, it strikes again.
and then I remember “language is a means for communication not perfection” and so I kick resistance in it’s teeth and leave perfection to the editors.
As the old saying goes “Rome wasn’t built in a day” and it certainly wasn’t built alone.
We’re all in this together. It takes a team.
