Intriguingly, the study found that the spirituality experienced through science has parallels with the positive wellbeing often observed in religious individuals. Three comprehensive studies involving 1197 participants were conducted to unearth these remarkable insights.

The first study aimed to establish the concept of “Spirituality of Science” by gauging participants’ feelings of transcendence, connection, and meaning when engaging with scientific concepts. This spirituality was then compared with other attitudes towards science, including interest in science, belief in science, feelings of awe, and religious beliefs.
