.
With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2013 Week 3 fantasy football running back rankings.
.
1. Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks
Marshawn Lynch has 187 total yards and three touchdowns after his dominating performance against a tough San Francisco 49ers team. He faces the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars, who have allowed 347 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in two games.
.
2. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Adrian Peterson has 218 total yards and three touchdowns through two games. The Minnesota Vikings offense has struggled against Matthew Stafford and Jay Culter. This week they draw the Cleveland Browns and Brandon Weeden. The Vikings don’t have to contend with an explosive offense, which should lead to a heavy workload for All Day.
.
3. LeSean MccCoy, Philadelphia Eagles
LeSean McCoy has 350 total yards in two games. Shady has just one touchdown, but that can be forgiven when you average 175 total yards per game. Kansas City has been stout against the run, giving up 54 yards per game at 2.8 yards per carry, but the Philadelphia Eagles bring a much more explosive run game.
.
4. Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs
Jamaal Charles has 203 total yards and a pair of touchdowns in two games. The Philadelphia Eagles have struggled defensively giving up 200 yards on the ground and 721 yards through the air. The dual-threat Charles should have a big day.
.
5. Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Doug Martin has 209 yards and a touchdown through two games. He has just two receptions on the year. He should improve in that department. He’s facing the New England Patriots, who have allowed 265 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
.
6. Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers
Frank Gore has just 95 yards and a touchdown through two games, but has a golden opportunity to get going. He’s facing the Indianapolis Colts, who have allowed 272 yards and three touchdowns in two games. After getting embarrassed by the Seattle Seahawks, look for the Niners to make a statement at home against the Colts.
.
7. Trent Richardson, Cleveland Browns
Trent Richardson faces a Vikings team that has struggled against Reggie Bush, Joique Bell and Matt Forte. They have given up 241 yards and a pair of scores on the ground. That trio combined for 239 receiving yards, which bodes well for the dual threat Richardson.
.
8. Matt Forte, Chicago Bears
Matt Forte has 252 total yards and a touchdown through two games. The Chicago Bears face a tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense, but the dual threat should be able to move the chains.
.
9. Arian Foster, Houston Texans
Arian Foster has 175 total yards and a touchdown through two games. He continues to see a fair share of touches despite the presence of Ben Tate. He has a tough draw against the Baltimore Ravens, but
.
10. Alfred Morris, Washington Redskins
Alfred Morris has 174 total yards and a touchdown through two games. The offense just hasn’t clicked. He should get going against a Detroit Lions team that has allowed 192 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
.
11. Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans
Chris Johnson has 166 rushing yards, but has not reached the end zone yet. He’s facing the San Diego Chargers, who have allowed 209 yards and a score on the ground.
.
12. Knowshon Moreno, Denver Broncos
Knowshon Moreno has 172 total yards and a pair of touchdowns. Next up is the Oakland Raiders at home. The passing game causes so much fear, Moreno hardly has to break a sweat.
.
13. DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys
DeMarco Murray has 199 total yards through two games. He’s facing a tough St. Louis Rams run defense that has allowed 61 yards per game at 2.9 yards per carry. Murray is playing at home where he has averaged 104 total yards and scored five career touchdowns. On the road he has scored just one touchdown and averaged 70.1 total yards.
.
14. C.J. Spiller, Buffalo Bills
C.J. Spiller has 184 total yards through two games. The New York Jets have allowed just 119 yards in two games at 2.4 yards per carry.
.
15. Darren McFadden, Oakland Raiders
Darren McFadden has 223 total yards and a touchdown through two games. The Denver Broncos have allowed just 81 rushing yards through two games. He ability to catch the ball out of the backfield will add to his numbers.
.
16. Bernard Pierce, Baltimore Ravens
Ray Rice (hip) is a question mark this week. If he can’t go, Pierce will get the nod against the Houston Texans. They have allowed 199 yards on the ground in two games.
.
17. DeAngelo Williams, Carolina Panthers
DeAngelo Williams has 185 total yards through two games. He’s facing the New York Giants, who have allowed 198 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
.
18. Joique Bell, Detroit Lions
Joique Bell will get a bump if Reggie Bush (knee) is unable to go. Either way, Bell should see his share of touches against the Washington Redskins, who have allowed 402 yard and three touchdowns on the ground in two games.
.
19. Rashard Mendenhall, Arizona Cardinals
Rashard Mendenhall has 158 total yards and a touchdown through two games. He’s facing the New Orleans Saints, who have allowed 248 yards on the ground.
.
20. Daryl Richardson, St. Louis Rams
Daryl Richardson has 176 total yards through two games. He’s facing the Dallas Cowboys, who have allowed 82 yards per game at 4.2 yards per carry. His ability to catch the ball out of the backfield makes him a solid RB2 choice.
